January Birthday's ~ Happy New Year!

Here's the card I made for my Step-Grandson, he's starting off our January Birthday's again this year!

Now all we need to do is get Papa Bob (aka Grandpa) to get it in the mail!  LOL!!!  I got this idea from Freedom in Creating  - Michelle Zindorf

Hope Braylon likes his card!

Step-Granddaughter's Wedding Card

Here's the card I created for my Step-Granddaughter and her husband-to-Be's wedding in January 2013.  I found the idea from Kay Kalthoff at Stamping to Share.  The newly-weds-to-be live in New Hampshire so we aren't going to be able to go to the wedding but our hearts will be with them, that's for sure!

Love the white on white, simple but elegant.  I used the single stamp Love Heart and Real Red Ink and Whisper White and Real Red CS.  I punched two hearts out of the inside layer of the computer generated sentiment and put some of the Silver Glimmer Paper behind.  Added a little more of the Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon to the inside.

Christmas Candy Bars

Here are the candy bars I wrapped and decorated with Stampin' UP! supplies.  Lots of glimmer and Christmas Stamps...

Sorry for the glare, I wrapped them in clear bags.  I used the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP for most of the wrappers and then decorated with lots of Glimmer Paper and attachments from Stampin' UP! Stamp Sets.  The Framelits make it so easy to cut out the designs ....

Snowmen Tea Lights

I had a previous post with the first little Snowman I created with instructions from Inking Idaho.  Here are the boxes I made (also created and shared by Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho).

Sorry for the shadow.  I used Gumball Green CS for the boxes.  Rose Red Seam Binding and you can't see the sides of the boxes but they're decorated with paper from the Festival of Prints DSP Pack.  The window is punched with the Fancy Label Punch.

I'm with Becky, too bad you can't leave the lights "on", but the batteries would run down!

Christmas In The Heart

Here's a frame I did using the Heart of Christmas Stamp for the sentiment and Scentsational Season for the cup with Candy Cane and Gingerbread Man.

The background paper on the left is Core'dinations Early Espresso CS ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, on the right is Core'dinations Cherry Cobbler ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder also.  The Heart of Christmas was stamped with Early Espresso and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  The little Gingerbread Man was stamped using Soft Suede and I added 3 little brads.  The cup was stamped with Midnight Muse Ink and the Candy Cane with Real Red Ink.  They were all cut out using the Holiday Collection Framelits.  The saying was cut using Apothecary Accents Framelits and I added some Early Espresso Sponging around the edge and a couple of little Brass Brads.

Christmas will be here before we know it!!!

Last November Birthday Card (I hope!)

My baby sister's birthday is November 30th.  Here's the card I created for her.  She has tons of hummingbirds at her front porch every year when we come for Easter, they're so fun to watch.  I thought I'd use the hummingbird from Elements of Style Stamp Set to create her birthday card this year...

I used the triple layer technique using Very Vanilla CS and Crumb Cake CS.  After stamping the flowers and vines in Gumball Green, I colored some of the flowers with water color wonder crayons (Brights Collection) and used the Blender Pen to spread the color.  I then stamped the hummingbird in Midnight Muse.  The Happy Birthday is from Petite Pairs Stamp Set.  I punched it out with the Medium Oval Punch and layered onto a piece of Midnight Muse CS punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  The ribbon on the corners is Rose Red Seam Binding.  I ran the layers through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I used a Crumb Cake envelope and stamped it with the vine from the Elements of Style Stamp Set in Gumball Green.

Holly's Birthday Card

Told you we had a lot of November birthdays!  Here's the one I made for my Step-Daughter.  She's such a sweetie, wish she lived closer so I could spoil her more...

I used the Happy Hour Stamp Set.  Basic Gray and Rich Razzleberry Ink. The card base is Basic Gray CS and the Rich Razzleberry layer I ran through the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  I used Apothecary Accents Framelits to cut out the stamped images and one for behind the wine glass.  The green DSP is from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Pack.  I added some Rhinestones colored with green and purple Sharpies and added them to a strip of Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon.  I added a piece of DSP to the flap of the envelope also.

Courtney's Birthday Card

Here's the card I made for Courtney, I cased it from Connie Stewart, she comes up with the greatest tutorials!

Sorry, it's a little dark in the picture.  Check out the site, she'll give you all the supply list and more!  Hope Courtney likes her card, it was fun to make.  Thanks Connie for the great tutorial (again)!

My Christmas Square Swap Creation

Here's my Christmas Square Swap creation:

I used a piece of background paper from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP and mounted the little squares to it, popped it into a 12x12 frame, viola ~ a creation!  So easy when all my Luv2Stamp Group friends do all the work!  Great swaps everybody, I love them all!

Snowman Light

These come out so cute.  I got the instructions from Inking Idaho.  Check it out if you'd like to make some!

You use the litte tea lights that are battery operated.  Add some Gumball Green for the cap, along with Cherry Cobbler CS, use the Large Oval Punch and the Itty Bitty Punch Set Circle a little of the Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim Ribbon for his scarf.  Run the cap through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  For his face I colored some Basic Pearls with a Black Sharpie.  On the backside you punch a scallop circle and use the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle to cut out where the on/off switch goes.  SoooOOO cute!

Christmas Square Swap

This was my swap for our Luv2Stamp Group Christmas Square Swap.  I should get my package from Patty today with squares from everyone who participated  ~ I'm so excited!

These were so much fun to make and so quick once I got the design down.  I used Brushed Silver CS for the Scallop Square (punched with the Scallop Square Punch).  Then a layer of Red Glimmer Paper punched with the 1-1/4" Square Punch.  I stamped the little reindeer head from the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla CS.  I punched that out with the 3/4" x 15/16" Punch and sponged the edges with Early Espresso Ink.  I added some Googlie Eyes and colored a Rhinestone with a Red Sharpie for Rudolph's nose.  Hope everyone liked the one I sent in to swap.

Peace on Earth

This card is CASED from Connie Stewart at Simply Stamping. She has a great tutorial on how to create it, thanks Connie~

The frame is the Framed Tulip Embossing Folder used on Whisper White CS and then sponged with Night of Navy Ink.  The backing for the Peace ON EARTH is Night of Navy CS and the card front is Glossy White CS.  It doesn't show in the picture but it's so shiny.  The background sky is Night of Navy on the top and Marina Mist for the lower sky.  The moon is Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango.  I used the Serene Silhouettes for the bird image and stamped with StazOn Black Ink and outlined some of the branches with a Watercolor Wonder Crayon.  After you sponge the background you can rub off the crayon and it looks like snow that has gathered on the branches.  The Peace On Earth is from Greetings of the Season Stamp Set.

November Birthdays Begin!

Our family has so many birthdays in November (well at least Bob's side)...and add one from mine and it's at least a weekly thing...

Here's the first for this month for Wendy ~ we miss those East Coast kids, how could they be getting this old already, thought that was our age???

I love the layering on this card, I've made them previously and originally got the idea from Gloria Plunkett who did a long-distance trade with one at our Luv 2 Stamp Group Meeting.  I used Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade stamp pads with the Creative Elements & Bring on the Cake Stamp Sets.  The base is Melon Mambo CS and the images were stamped on Very Vanilla CS.  The inside sentiment is computer generated.  Birthday Wishes was stamped with Staz-On Black Ink.

Hope she has an awesome Birthday and doesn't check my blog ~ her Dad just mailed it yesterday and takes a few days to get to New Hapshire!  LOL!!!  That's okay Wendy, they always look even better in person so you still have something to look forward to~

Cowboy

I did another frame using the Horse Frontier Stamp Set.  The ink is Early Espresso and some green a blue from the Water Color Wonder Crayons and the Blender Pen.  The backing is Cherry Cobbler Co'ordinations Paper and Early Espresso Co'ordinations Paper ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I used Labels Collection Framelits for the horse and ChampagneGlimmer Paper around the horse and horseshoe.  I cut the horse shoe with circle punches and scallop circle punch.  The saying is cut with Apothecary Accents Framelit and sponged with Early Espresso and I added two of the glimmer brads.  The frame is from Wal-Mart.  Hope you like it!

These are really fun to make and come out really pretty (the pictures really don't do them justice), in person they are very elegant.

Hugs and happy stampin'

Christmas Frame

Last week-end my Twin Judy and dear friend Nancy (both Demonstrators) came to my house and we created some pretty cool frames.  The original idea we saw on Cindee Wilkinson's Blog (Just Sponge It!)
and she had brought her creations to Patty's October meeting.

Judy came down again yesterday and we each made one of our own.  Mine is pictured above.  Love the Framelits, they make die cutting so easy.

Products used: Core'dinations Early Espresso & Cherry Cobbler for the background.  The Merry Christmas is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set.  The candy from Jolly Bingo Bits, Gingerbread Men and Candy Canes from Scentsational Season Stamp Set.  Jars and lids from Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set.Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green Ink Pads. colored the Rhinestones with a red Sharpie, Bakers Twine around the lids cut from the Festival of Prints DSP Stack.  The frame was from Wal-Mart.  Ran the background papers through embossing folders, Square Lattice and Fancy Fan.  Cut candy with 1/2" circle punch, used Framelits to cut the Gingerbread Men and Candy Canes, Jars, Lids, background for jars and the Merry Christmas Label (Cannery Set, Holiday Collection, Window Frame and Apothecary Accents Framelits).  Added mini silver brads to the corners of the Window Frame pieces. Dazzling Details were used on the candy, candy canes and Gingerbread Men.

They are even more awesome in person ~

Gettin' ready for Christmas ~ it'll be here before we know it!!!!

Going Away Card

A lady at work left last week (she worked for our tree contractor), so of course I had to make her a card with trees on it!

The base of the card is Early Espresso CS and I did the triple layer technique using Crumb Cake CS.  We've had several card swaps using the technique and I've seen it on a lot of blogs, so cute and much easier than it appears!  The Stamp Set I used was one of my all-time favorites: Lovely as a Tree.  I drew the little bird in free hand.  The inside stamp is from the Word Play Stamp Set.  The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Scallop Dot.  I cut the words for the inside with a Window Frame Collection Framelit.

Luv2Stamp Group Meeting October 2012

We had so much fun at Patty's Meeting yesterday.  What an awesome group, what great ideas and swaps!  This is the card I did for the trade:

It's always so hard to vote for your 3 favorites because I love them all!  I used Black CS for the base, ran Whisper White CS through the Spider Web Embossing Folder after stamping with the little spider from Googly Ghouls (of course added the Googlies eyes) and the Trick or Treat from Toxic Treats Stamp Sets.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Band Thank-You

My Nephew plays in the band at Calaveras High School.  They recently did a fund-raising dinner and my Sis asked me to make the Thank You cards for all the wonderful people who donated and helped make it a great success~

The logo she sent me and I used Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight CS on a Whisper White CS base.  I ran the Daffodil Delight through the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The Thanks was from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and punched with the Large Oval Punch and layered onto Cajun Craze punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  I used the Moving Forward Stamp Set for the frog and his little motion jump line all in Gumball Green Ink!

Hope they were able to use the cards and the recipients liked getting them!

Paula's Birthday Card

My daughter had another birthday ~ she's almost catching up to me!  LOL!

I used Gloria Plunkett's trade card from one of our Luv2Stamp Group Meetings.  I changed mine up to use Daffodil Delight for the background paper and the Happy Birthday from the Blue Ribbon Stamp Set.  The flowers and background are from the Creative Elements Stamp Set.  These cards come out so cute and are so easy to do.  My daughter is a Pittsburgh Steeler FAN so had to do a "black and yellow" card for her!  Here's the inside~

I used the Framelits - Labels Collection to cut the inside paper.  The writing was done on my computer. It was a VERY busy day and we had a great time helping her celebrate!

Aurora's B-Day Card

My walkin' partner at work had a birthday on Labor Day.  This is the card I gave her today:

I got the inspiration from luv-2-stamp groups'  Barbara Hebert at Barbara Hebert Designs.

Cannery Set meets Perfectly Preserved

Kay Kalthoff at Stamping to Share has a great video tutorial for this cute little jar.  My friend Nancy sent me her link and now she's on my "favorites list"!  Thanks Nancy....

Don't you just love it?  I used the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set, Cannery Set of Framelets and did the jar in Bashful Blue CS and wrapped the candy bars with Orchard Harvest DSP.  The jar was stamped with Midnight Muse and the circle cut with the Large Oval Punch.  I added some Clear Window Sheets to make the oval look like glass. The ribbon is 1/8" Taffeta.

Happy Stampin'

Ornament on Holiday Catalog

My dear friend Nancy Baladad gave me the most awesome gift, the Ornament Keepsake Bundle from the Holiday Catalog!  Not only did she give me the bundle, she stamped and cut out everything needed to make one of the ornaments like Stampin' UP! pictured on the cover.  What a sweet gesture, thanks so much Nancy.

Here's the ornament I created with the help of instructions from www.stampingschool.com that I belong to by Matt & Linda Heller.

It was fun to create and would make great Christmas decorations or package decorations.  That new tulle is so pretty and so easy to work with.  I used the Scalloped Tulle Ribbon Cherry Cobbler. The button in the center is Vintage Faceted Designer Button (Large).  Nancy stamped the ornaments on Very Vanilla CS with Cherry Cobbler Ink for the smaller ones and Old Olive for the larger petals.  I used the two way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds for the bling around the edges of the leaves.  I also used Cherry Cobbler Linen Thread for the center of the Old Olive leaves.

Birthday

I purchased a template from Tanya Bell at Stampting T.  That lady does such cool stuff!  Here's my version of her shoe (not even close to her expertise!)....but it was fun.  I have a co-worker/friend that loves shoes and I bought this tutorial to make her a birthday card, needless to say, a bit late ~ but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?  LOL!!!

I know she'll love it, or at least pretend she does!!!  I used Champagne Glimmer Paper for the "bling", Basic Black CS for the base of the shoe, Gray for the inside of the shoe and Birthday Wishes is from Bring On the Cake Stamp Set in Black StazOn and clear embossing powder.  The card base is Pink Pirouette CS.   Whew, glad I finally got that one done, I'm really LATE!!!!  Sorry Kerry~

The Birthday Wishes looks a bit crooked in the photo, but that's because the card opens up and the angle makes it look that way.  See:

Thanks for the inspiration Tanya and doing a tutorial for purchase that would give me the opportunity to appreciate you even more!!!

6 Year Old's Birthday Card

My good friend at work has a Grandson who turns 6 today.  He's already a die-hard Giants fan so I got him a Giants sweatshirt from our Sports Store at the mall.  Here's the card I made to go with his gift ~

It's just a little 3x3 gift card.  I used Great Sport Stamp Set for the baseballs, stamped off once and then stamped on Very Vanilla CS with Pumpkin Pie Ink and also sponged the edges with the same ink.  The Happy Birthday is from Blue Ribbon Stamp Set.  The border is Pumpkin Pie CS layered onto the Black CS base.  I used some Black Taffeta Ribbon.  The inside was computer generated.  Used my oval Scallop Circle punch and regular circle punch and the inside circle is one of the circles from the Circles #2 Sizzix die.

Hope he has an awesome 6th birthday ~ and many more....

Sympathy

I don't like having to make Sympathy Cards, but my Brother-in-law lost his little sister this week-end and I really want him and Judy to know that our thoughts and prayers are with their family.

I used Baja Breeze CS for the base of the card and some of the new white core'dinations Early Espresso CS and ran it through the new 8/1 Textured Impressions Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  The tree with the little girl in the swing is from the Forever Young Stamp Set stamped with VersaMark and using White Embossing Powder. The sentiment is in the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits, along with the saying on the inside. A bit of Baja Breeze sponging and I added two pearls colored with Sharpies (dark brown).

Big prayers and loves to Mike, Judy and the entire family.

Back from Convention 2012

Wow, what a fun-filled week.  My Twin Judy and I drove this year, we had so much fun and had room (barely) for all the fun stuff we accumulated from gifts and Momento Mall!  No way to explain how much fun and how inspiring Convention is, you have to experience it first-hand to really feel how much emotion and excitement it generates.

We finally were able to make the tour out to Home Office in Riverton ~ I need to talk to "my Boss", I think our office needs some "upgrading"???

The staircase from downstairs at Riverton leading to the upper floor...just beautiful~
And this is the center of the bottom floor, totally amazing!!

Hope to post more soon, didn't get home until Sunday night and up again at 5:00 a.m. on Monday for the "regular job"!

What a great week we had, can hardly wait until next year!

Lexi's Birthday Card

My hubby's Great-Granddaughter had a Birthday ~ she lives in Arizona and this is the card I created for her special occasion!

I used Melon Mambo for the Card Base and Gumball Green CS for the inside frame. The frames were cut using Framelits - Labels Collection.  The background layer on the front of the card and flap of the envelope is Summer Smooches DSP.  I stamped the little girl and boy in the wagon using Life shared Stamp.  I added a strip of Satin Stitched Gumball Green Ribbon.  I colored the image with Colored Pencils and used the Blender Pen to fill in.  Hope her Birthday was very special!

Table Saw Gift Card Holder

I saw this on Laurie Zoellmers's site some time ago.  I ordered the tutorial and here's my version of the Table Saw Gift Card Holder designed by Amanda Corbet at Craft Project Central.  This project was very tedious, not sure how anybody ever figures this kind of stuff out ~ let alone put together a step-by-step tutorial for it!  Thank you Amanda...

Now ~ here's my version:

Will have to be somebody who will keep this gift (not just the gift card) before I'll be using it!  LOL!!!
