Tina's Birthday Card

I waited to post so I didn't ruin your B-day Tina!  LOL!!!  Actually, I've just been too busy......  This card idea is from Linda Heller's Stamping School that I subscribe to.

It's called Can Opener Card: Birthday.  The little brad allows you to swing the senitment open and see the message inside!  Very clever, don't you think?  The card base is Island Indigo and the next layer is Pool Party.  The designer paper is Quartrefancy Specialty DSP.  The stamp sets I used were You're Amazing and Bring On the Cake.  I added some rhinestones to mine.  Also used the DSP to line the inside of the envelope.  Tina got it in time for her Birthday and "liked it"!  Yeah!!!!  Hope you do too.

November Birthdays Begin!

Our family has so many birthdays in November (well at least Bob's side)...and add one from mine and it's at least a weekly thing...

Here's the first for this month for Wendy ~ we miss those East Coast kids, how could they be getting this old already, thought that was our age???

I love the layering on this card, I've made them previously and originally got the idea from Gloria Plunkett who did a long-distance trade with one at our Luv 2 Stamp Group Meeting.  I used Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade stamp pads with the Creative Elements & Bring on the Cake Stamp Sets.  The base is Melon Mambo CS and the images were stamped on Very Vanilla CS.  The inside sentiment is computer generated.  Birthday Wishes was stamped with Staz-On Black Ink.

Hope she has an awesome Birthday and doesn't check my blog ~ her Dad just mailed it yesterday and takes a few days to get to New Hapshire!  LOL!!!  That's okay Wendy, they always look even better in person so you still have something to look forward to~

Birthday

I purchased a template from Tanya Bell at Stampting T.  That lady does such cool stuff!  Here's my version of her shoe (not even close to her expertise!)....but it was fun.  I have a co-worker/friend that loves shoes and I bought this tutorial to make her a birthday card, needless to say, a bit late ~ but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?  LOL!!!

I know she'll love it, or at least pretend she does!!!  I used Champagne Glimmer Paper for the "bling", Basic Black CS for the base of the shoe, Gray for the inside of the shoe and Birthday Wishes is from Bring On the Cake Stamp Set in Black StazOn and clear embossing powder.  The card base is Pink Pirouette CS.   Whew, glad I finally got that one done, I'm really LATE!!!!  Sorry Kerry~

The Birthday Wishes looks a bit crooked in the photo, but that's because the card opens up and the angle makes it look that way.  See:

Thanks for the inspiration Tanya and doing a tutorial for purchase that would give me the opportunity to appreciate you even more!!!

Birthday Card and Treat

My BFF from our downtown office is celebrating her birthday today!  I made her a card and little coffee treat and took it by and left it on her desk this morning.  She called, she LOVED IT!  Yeah!!!!

I used DSP from the 6x6 In Color Paper Patterns book.  I ran a 4x51/4 piece of Crumb Cake CS through the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and sponged for the top half with Early Espresso.   I made a little "Lollie" from Whisper White CS with a pearl in the center and punched the edges with the Scallop Trim Border punch.  I cut a butterfly with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  The Birthday Wishes stamp is from Bring on the Cake.  Added a little bow made with Espresso Tafetta ribbon.

The little coffee treat was made with the Petite Pocket Sizzix Die and Crumb Cake DSP.  The stamp set I used is Morning Cup stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  The little message was punched with the Word Window Punch and layered onto a piece of Real Red CS punched with the Modern Label Punch.  I added a couple of little Pearls.  The ribbon is the wide striped Cherry Cobbler tied with a piece of the Bakers Twine.  I sponged the edges.  The coffee cups were stamped with Cherry Cobbler and punched out with the Wide Oval Punch and layered onto Real Red CS punched with the Decorative Label Punch.  I saw this at our recent Luv 2 Stamp Group Meeting, Cindee Wilkinson brought it and you can see the ones she made on her Blog, Just Sponge It.  She is so creative and thanks so much for sharing Cindee!  Love it!

Birthday Card for a co-worker

Here's the card I made for my counter-part in Bakersfield.  She loves shoes!  I used the flip-flop stamp from the Sunny Fun Stamp Set.  The striped DSP is Just Add Cake.  The card base is Melon Mambo CS and the ribbon is the new Chocolate Chip Scallop Dots Ribbon.  The happy birthday stamp is from the Bring On The Cake Stamp Set.  I used Elegant Egg Plant CS and ran it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I added a little bling with the Jewels Basic Rhinestones.  I colored the shoes with Stampin' Write Markers and the Blender Pen.  I used the Large Oval Punch for the cake and Decorative Label Punch behind it.  I sponged the Oval with Early Espresso Ink.  Now all I have to do is get it in the mail!  :o)

My Brother-in-law's 65th Birthday!

My B-I-L just celebrated his 65th Birthday ~ here's the card I created for him:

I used Vellum and stamped the image of the truck from the Stamp Set Countryside.  I put it over my cushion that came in the mat pack and dry embossed the image and then added color by using Stampin' Write markers.  I tore it out and sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink and did an Easel Card.  The Happy Birthday is from the Bring On the Cake Stamp Set and I cut a little banner free-hand and attached with one of the Antique Brads.  The Card Base is Baja Breeze CS and the Happy Birthday was mounted onto Chocolate Chip CS and I punched the edge with the Scallop Border Punch.  The background paper was Botanical Gazette DSP ~ now retired :o( .  I used the Early Espresso/White Baker's Twine and punched the 65 with the Timeless Type Alphabet Junior Sizzlets.

I think he liked it ~ Happy 65th Michael!

Cheyenne's Birthday Card

I made a Birthday card for Bob's new-found Great-Granddaughter, Cheyenne, hope she likes it!

I used Regal Rose CS for the base and ran a piece of Whisper White CS through the Finial Press Embossing Folder and then cut another piece of Regal Rose CS and a Scallop circle, glued them together and ran it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder ~ it's amazing when you do that it all becomes one piece of paper ~ totally cool!!!  I added the 13th from Bring On the Cake Stamp Set and birthday wishes sentiment from the So Happy for You (was a Celebration Stamp Set).  A little Pink Satin Ribbon ~ done!  Now to get it in the mail ~ her 13th Birthday is on Mother's Day.

bring on the CAKE!

My hubby asked me to create a Birthday Card for his new found Granddaughter Melinda.  Thanks to the help of Dawn's Stamping Thoughts, I came up with this card.

I added lots of "bling" with the Rhinestones.  The card base is Regal Rose CS and Old Olive CS.  I used the Cupcake Punch for the little cupcake, the Modern Label Punch and Word Window Punch.  A little White Organza Ribbon and the stamp sets Bring On The Cake and Water Color Trio.   Now to get Bob to put it into the mail on time!!!  LOL!!!

Masculine Birthday Card

My Boss' birthday is this week and I wanted to make him a masculine card. I think this one fits the bill!

I saw the foil done on Jackie Topa's site Addicted to Stamping.  Just glue aluminum foil to a piece of card stock and run it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Makes it look like one of those tool boxes guys have mounted in the back of their trucks!  I added some tools from the Totally Tool Stamp Set.  The little folder was made with the Bigz Top Note Die using Pear Pizazz CS which I also ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and then sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink.  The Happy Birthday is from Bring On The Cake 2 of 2 Stamp Set.  I used Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets and ran a piece of Chocolate Chip Ribbon through and also along the edges of the Crumb Cake CS that the Happy Birthday was stamped on.  That was mounted onto a piece of Chocolate Chip CS that I punched the bottom with the Scallop Border Punch.  I think he'll like it??
