Birthday Card for my Sis'
Here's the card I created for my Sis' who lives in LaHabra. Don't get to see her very often but she's always in my heart and on my mind. She's the 2nd to the youngest of the six of us. Hope your Birthday is awesome Dee and your card got there in time!
This idea came from StampinTexasChristi'sU-tubeChannel . She has so many great ideas, love her site Stamp In Texas with Christi Beck. The stamp set is You're Amazing. I used Melon Mambo CS for the base. Whisper White ran through the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. The little flowers were punched with one of the Itty Bitty Stamp Set stamps. The banners were cut using Quatrefancy DSP. I used the new Candy Dots on top of the little flowers. (I didn't mount them on the brads like Christi did because I was going to mail it and wanted to avoid too much width.) I also used the new Envelope Liner Framelits' Die to make a lining for the envelope (love those Framelits)!

Snowman Light
These come out so cute. I got the instructions from Inking Idaho. Check it out if you'd like to make some!
You use the litte tea lights that are battery operated. Add some Gumball Green for the cap, along with Cherry Cobbler CS, use the Large Oval Punch and the Itty Bitty Punch Set Circle a little of the Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim Ribbon for his scarf. Run the cap through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. For his face I colored some Basic Pearls with a Black Sharpie. On the backside you punch a scallop circle and use the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle to cut out where the on/off switch goes. SoooOOO cute!

Post-it Note Holder
Last week on Stamping School Linda had the cutest Top Note Box. Here's my version...
I love the blue's and browns together so this one really struck my eye! I used Elegant Soiree DSP for the top of the box. The bottom part is Baja Breeze CS (can't see it in the picture). You cut two top notes from the thick packaging paper that comes in the 12x12 packs of DSP and the glue your DSP and CS to those so they're thicker and more sturdy for the tops of the box. The Stamp Sets are Nature Walk and Teeny Tiny Wishes. You use the Small Oval Punch for the sentiment and sponged with Soft Suede Classic Ink, 2-1/2" Circle Punch and 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large Punch. Under that is the Swirls Scribbles Sizzlets(R) Die punched in Soft Suede CS. Behind the swirls is a layer of the Elegant Soiree DSP, then Crumb Cake CS, layered onto the Top Note that you created with the same DSP (striped sheet). The little flower is punched with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Flower and I added a Basic Pearl to the center. Inside the box is a Post-it-Note pad for taking notes. Would be a really nice gift for a co-worker, don't you think? (To make the box that is sandwiched between the two Top Notes I used Baja Breeze CS, one piece for the bottom cut at 4-1/8" x 4-1/8", score 1/2" on all sides. Top of box is 4-1/4" x 4-1/4", also score 1/2" on all sides. Cut slits on corners of 1/2" on opposite sides of each piece to enable you to fold and make into a box. (Hope that makes sense to you???) ..... anyway, have fun and let me know if you have any questions. If you'd like to join Stamping School, click on the link above and get information. Linda is a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator and you can join her School and get new projects every week to use at your Workshops!
