Last November Birthday Card (I hope!)

My baby sister's birthday is November 30th.  Here's the card I created for her.  She has tons of hummingbirds at her front porch every year when we come for Easter, they're so fun to watch.  I thought I'd use the hummingbird from Elements of Style Stamp Set to create her birthday card this year...

I used the triple layer technique using Very Vanilla CS and Crumb Cake CS.  After stamping the flowers and vines in Gumball Green, I colored some of the flowers with water color wonder crayons (Brights Collection) and used the Blender Pen to spread the color.  I then stamped the hummingbird in Midnight Muse.  The Happy Birthday is from Petite Pairs Stamp Set.  I punched it out with the Medium Oval Punch and layered onto a piece of Midnight Muse CS punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  The ribbon on the corners is Rose Red Seam Binding.  I ran the layers through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I used a Crumb Cake envelope and stamped it with the vine from the Elements of Style Stamp Set in Gumball Green.

Holly's Birthday Card

Told you we had a lot of November birthdays!  Here's the one I made for my Step-Daughter.  She's such a sweetie, wish she lived closer so I could spoil her more...

I used the Happy Hour Stamp Set.  Basic Gray and Rich Razzleberry Ink. The card base is Basic Gray CS and the Rich Razzleberry layer I ran through the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  I used Apothecary Accents Framelits to cut out the stamped images and one for behind the wine glass.  The green DSP is from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Pack.  I added some Rhinestones colored with green and purple Sharpies and added them to a strip of Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon.  I added a piece of DSP to the flap of the envelope also.

Courtney's Birthday Card

Here's the card I made for Courtney, I cased it from Connie Stewart, she comes up with the greatest tutorials!

Sorry, it's a little dark in the picture.  Check out the site, she'll give you all the supply list and more!  Hope Courtney likes her card, it was fun to make.  Thanks Connie for the great tutorial (again)!

My Christmas Square Swap Creation

Here's my Christmas Square Swap creation:

I used a piece of background paper from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP and mounted the little squares to it, popped it into a 12x12 frame, viola ~ a creation!  So easy when all my Luv2Stamp Group friends do all the work!  Great swaps everybody, I love them all!

Snowman Light

These come out so cute.  I got the instructions from Inking Idaho.  Check it out if you'd like to make some!

You use the litte tea lights that are battery operated.  Add some Gumball Green for the cap, along with Cherry Cobbler CS, use the Large Oval Punch and the Itty Bitty Punch Set Circle a little of the Cherry Cobbler Sweater Trim Ribbon for his scarf.  Run the cap through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  For his face I colored some Basic Pearls with a Black Sharpie.  On the backside you punch a scallop circle and use the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle to cut out where the on/off switch goes.  SoooOOO cute!

Christmas Square Swap

This was my swap for our Luv2Stamp Group Christmas Square Swap.  I should get my package from Patty today with squares from everyone who participated  ~ I'm so excited!

These were so much fun to make and so quick once I got the design down.  I used Brushed Silver CS for the Scallop Square (punched with the Scallop Square Punch).  Then a layer of Red Glimmer Paper punched with the 1-1/4" Square Punch.  I stamped the little reindeer head from the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla CS.  I punched that out with the 3/4" x 15/16" Punch and sponged the edges with Early Espresso Ink.  I added some Googlie Eyes and colored a Rhinestone with a Red Sharpie for Rudolph's nose.  Hope everyone liked the one I sent in to swap.

The ribbon is Primrose Petals Statin Stitched Ribbon. The inside sentiment is computer generated and cut out using Floral Frames Framelit.  I used a strip of DSP and the Champagne Glimmer Paper. I added some flowers to the envelope.

Peace on Earth

This card is CASED from Connie Stewart at Simply Stamping. She has a great tutorial on how to create it, thanks Connie~

The frame is the Framed Tulip Embossing Folder used on Whisper White CS and then sponged with Night of Navy Ink.  The backing for the Peace ON EARTH is Night of Navy CS and the card front is Glossy White CS.  It doesn't show in the picture but it's so shiny.  The background sky is Night of Navy on the top and Marina Mist for the lower sky.  The moon is Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango.  I used the Serene Silhouettes for the bird image and stamped with StazOn Black Ink and outlined some of the branches with a Watercolor Wonder Crayon.  After you sponge the background you can rub off the crayon and it looks like snow that has gathered on the branches.  The Peace On Earth is from Greetings of the Season Stamp Set.

November Birthdays Begin!

Our family has so many birthdays in November (well at least Bob's side)...and add one from mine and it's at least a weekly thing...

Here's the first for this month for Wendy ~ we miss those East Coast kids, how could they be getting this old already, thought that was our age???

I love the layering on this card, I've made them previously and originally got the idea from Gloria Plunkett who did a long-distance trade with one at our Luv 2 Stamp Group Meeting.  I used Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade stamp pads with the Creative Elements & Bring on the Cake Stamp Sets.  The base is Melon Mambo CS and the images were stamped on Very Vanilla CS.  The inside sentiment is computer generated.  Birthday Wishes was stamped with Staz-On Black Ink.

Hope she has an awesome Birthday and doesn't check my blog ~ her Dad just mailed it yesterday and takes a few days to get to New Hapshire!  LOL!!!  That's okay Wendy, they always look even better in person so you still have something to look forward to~

Cowboy

I did another frame using the Horse Frontier Stamp Set.  The ink is Early Espresso and some green a blue from the Water Color Wonder Crayons and the Blender Pen.  The backing is Cherry Cobbler Co'ordinations Paper and Early Espresso Co'ordinations Paper ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I used Labels Collection Framelits for the horse and ChampagneGlimmer Paper around the horse and horseshoe.  I cut the horse shoe with circle punches and scallop circle punch.  The saying is cut with Apothecary Accents Framelit and sponged with Early Espresso and I added two of the glimmer brads.  The frame is from Wal-Mart.  Hope you like it!

These are really fun to make and come out really pretty (the pictures really don't do them justice), in person they are very elegant.

Hugs and happy stampin'

Christmas Frame

Last week-end my Twin Judy and dear friend Nancy (both Demonstrators) came to my house and we created some pretty cool frames.  The original idea we saw on Cindee Wilkinson's Blog (Just Sponge It!)
and she had brought her creations to Patty's October meeting.

Judy came down again yesterday and we each made one of our own.  Mine is pictured above.  Love the Framelits, they make die cutting so easy.

Products used: Core'dinations Early Espresso & Cherry Cobbler for the background.  The Merry Christmas is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set.  The candy from Jolly Bingo Bits, Gingerbread Men and Candy Canes from Scentsational Season Stamp Set.  Jars and lids from Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set.Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green Ink Pads. colored the Rhinestones with a red Sharpie, Bakers Twine around the lids cut from the Festival of Prints DSP Stack.  The frame was from Wal-Mart.  Ran the background papers through embossing folders, Square Lattice and Fancy Fan.  Cut candy with 1/2" circle punch, used Framelits to cut the Gingerbread Men and Candy Canes, Jars, Lids, background for jars and the Merry Christmas Label (Cannery Set, Holiday Collection, Window Frame and Apothecary Accents Framelits).  Added mini silver brads to the corners of the Window Frame pieces. Dazzling Details were used on the candy, candy canes and Gingerbread Men.

They are even more awesome in person ~

Gettin' ready for Christmas ~ it'll be here before we know it!!!!
