From Stamping School

I got this idea from Linda Heller at Stamping School.  I belong to her site and get great ideas from her every week, thanks Linda

It was fun to create using some of the paper from the 2017-2018 catalog called Pick A Pattern DSP.  The little tiger is from A Little Wild and cut using the Little Loves Framelits Dies.

Halloween Spider

These little guys come out so cute and are really pretty easy to create, thanks to instructions from Debbie's Designs

Use the Curvy Keepsakes Box Framelit and Basic Black CS.  The eyes are Whisper White punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch and then a couple of Basic Black inside cut with the 1/2" circle punch and drew some pupils with the White Signo Gel Pen.  The legs are cut with 2 Square Freamelit Dies put down together and then the squares are cut in half, cut four for 8 legs.  I bent the ends over enough to adhere a glue dot (had to roll it a bit to make it small enough, then just stick to the side of the box.  Thanks again Debbie for the great idea.

Valentine CASE 2014

Here's my first CASE for 2014!  I belong to Linda Heller's StampingSchool.com, here is the card she demonstrated for us this week, don't you just love it?  You can find her site here. Thanks for all the great ideas Linda and for sharing...

This card has some of the new products Stampin' UP! will have available January 3rd in the Celebrate the everyday Catalog and Sale-A-Bration starting on January 26th!  2014 is going to be an awesome year!

The envelope was made using the Envelope Punch Board and Modern Medley DSP.  The hearts were punched with Small Heart Punch, Full Heart Punch and Owl Builder Punch (for the small hearts).  The Basic Rhinestones give it the extra "sparkle".  The little hello stamp is from a new one available 1/3 called Perfect Pennants, has Framelits to match and will be available in a "bundle"!  The Basic Black on the front of the card was ran through the Big Shot with a new Embossing Folder called Decorative Dots that you can get for "free" during Sale-A-Bration starting 1/26/2014 with a $50. order.  Wow....so much fun!

Happy New Year to all my followers, thanks for your comments and thanks for checking out my blog.  Love and hugs to all ~

Halloween 2013

I found these cute little Halloween Treat Bags on Becky Roberts' Inking Idaho site here.  She comes up with the cutest ideas.  I threw a few together to give to my friends at work.

I used Stampin' UP! Clear Envelopes (102619) for the treats and Halloween Hello Stamp Set.  The first layer is Black CS punched with the Framelits Label Collection and the stripes are from Witches Brew DSP.  A little Pumpkin Pie for one of the circle layers, Silver Glimmer Paper and Black CS punched with the Oval Circle Punch.  Isn't that little witch just so cute.  The banner is cut using Gumball Green CS and stamped with the it's all about the candy! which was also in the Halloween Hello Stamp Set.

Hope everyone had a SAFE and fun Halloween!

Thank You box

I found the video instructions for this box on Beth Beard's Blog; My Little Craft Blog.  She has all the materials and instructions listed.  I love the vintage look and this box is made with the Milk Carton Die (I haven't used that in a while...).

It uses Modern Medley DSP (one of my current favorites), Black CS, Baked Brown Sugar CS & Ink.  The little Thank You is from Hello, Lovely Stamp Set.  Also used Early Espresso to sponge the edges and make them darker.  There is a large Basic Pearl in the center.

The box is actually pretty good sized, I'm going to use it as a gift box.  Thanks Beth for the great idea!

Daughter's Birthday Card

Happy Friday the 13th!  My favorite day to have 9/13 fall on.  My wonderful daughter Paula was born on a Friday, September 13th ...my lucky day!

Here's the card I created for her (my little Pittsburgh Steeler Fan)!

I used the new Thinlits - Label Card to create this card.  The paper is Basic Black CS for the base and Modern Medley DSP for the stripes and dots.  Since that paper was black/white I colored the white with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker so it'd be her team colors!  The balloons were cut with the small Oval Punch and the Owl Punch (feet) and White Signo Gel Pen.  (Patty Bennett taught us how to do this on her site...so cute!)  I used Cycle Celebration for the Celebrate A Sweet Birthday on the front.  The finally a day that really is all about YOU! is from the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set and I stamped the you! with Versa Mark and used White Embossing Powder, cut it out and layered it with deminsionals. I added some bling under it with the Clear Rhinestones. Needless to say, she loved the card!  Oh yeah, and all the Steeler stuff from the Sports Store in the Merced Mall!  Those people love to see me comin'!  I ran the Daffodil Delight CS through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  The little helmet was printed on Whisper White CS and "fussy cut"...  The message on the inside was computer generated.  Happy 45th my sweet baby girl~

Luv2Stamp Group Meeting October 2012

We had so much fun at Patty's Meeting yesterday.  What an awesome group, what great ideas and swaps!  This is the card I did for the trade:

It's always so hard to vote for your 3 favorites because I love them all!  I used Black CS for the base, ran Whisper White CS through the Spider Web Embossing Folder after stamping with the little spider from Googly Ghouls (of course added the Googlies eyes) and the Trick or Treat from Toxic Treats Stamp Sets.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Paula's Birthday Card

My daughter had another birthday ~ she's almost catching up to me!  LOL!

I used Gloria Plunkett's trade card from one of our Luv2Stamp Group Meetings.  I changed mine up to use Daffodil Delight for the background paper and the Happy Birthday from the Blue Ribbon Stamp Set.  The flowers and background are from the Creative Elements Stamp Set.  These cards come out so cute and are so easy to do.  My daughter is a Pittsburgh Steeler FAN so had to do a "black and yellow" card for her!  Here's the inside~

I used the Framelits - Labels Collection to cut the inside paper.  The writing was done on my computer. It was a VERY busy day and we had a great time helping her celebrate!

Birthday

I purchased a template from Tanya Bell at Stampting T.  That lady does such cool stuff!  Here's my version of her shoe (not even close to her expertise!)....but it was fun.  I have a co-worker/friend that loves shoes and I bought this tutorial to make her a birthday card, needless to say, a bit late ~ but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?  LOL!!!

I know she'll love it, or at least pretend she does!!!  I used Champagne Glimmer Paper for the "bling", Basic Black CS for the base of the shoe, Gray for the inside of the shoe and Birthday Wishes is from Bring On the Cake Stamp Set in Black StazOn and clear embossing powder.  The card base is Pink Pirouette CS.   Whew, glad I finally got that one done, I'm really LATE!!!!  Sorry Kerry~

The Birthday Wishes looks a bit crooked in the photo, but that's because the card opens up and the angle makes it look that way.  See:

Thanks for the inspiration Tanya and doing a tutorial for purchase that would give me the opportunity to appreciate you even more!!!

Another Wedding Surprise for Tina!

I also made a little candy box for Tina using the idea from our UPLINE Meeting with Patty Bennett last month.  Cindee Wilkinson (Just Sponge It) showed us how to do this altered matchbox and candy favor.

The little candies are stamped with the new It's a Wrap Occasions Stamp Set and go around a little candy bar without actually gluing to the candy wrapper. I put the glue on the inside and wrap the other end so they are lose from the actual candy bar (we learned at our meeting that Hershey's has a rule against gluing directly over their trademark).  I used the new Stripes Embossing Folder for the lid and the label that punches out with the Matchbox.  Again, used Tina and John's colors of Black/White and Rust (aka Cajun Craze in my stamp room!).
I embossed around the label with some Whisper White Ink.

BFF Tina's Wedding Surprise!

I made a cute little photo album for my friend Tina, she's getting married Oct.9th ~ congrats Tina!

Her colors they chose for the wedding are Black/White and Rust ~ so ~ Cajun Craze fit the bill perfectly!
I got the tutorial from DOstamping with Dawn, isn't it awesome?  She gives  you step-by-step instructions.  Thanks Dawn!

The Hat Box

Isn't this just the cutest little hat box?  I got the instructions and idea from one of my favorite sites, Laurie's Stampin' Spot.  Laurie Zoellmer comes up with the cutest ideas.  She used her empty embellishment containers as the base for the hat, what a great idea.  At Stampin' UP! you can even buy the empty containers Stampin' Up sells them, you get six for only $3.95 Stampin' Store Containers (103649).

I put the necklace I posted yesterday inside and used the hat box as my gift container for my Twin, Judy.  She loved it!  Thanks for sharing your idea and instructions Laurie. :o)

I used Melon Mambo ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and used some of the Cardboard packing from the bottom of DSP to give the brim some strength.  The flowers are punched from Black CS using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.  I used Basic Rhinestones in the center of the flowers and a Rhinestone Brad colored with my Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker to color it to match the hat.  The ribbon is the 1-1/2" Basic Black striped Grosgrain Ribbon.  Check out Laurie's site, she has so many great ideas!

Grad Box

I created this Graduation Box for a friend's High School Grad Party.  I used the invitation they sent to cut out the pictures, 2011 & name.  I used Basic Black CS for the Box and the Red Glimmer Paper to decorate.  Also used the Large Scallop Punch, Small Oval Punch and Medium Oval Punch.  I put his gift inside.

Theresa Welcome!

We had a call of a "lifetime" on Tuesday, September 21, 2010.  My husband got home from golfing to a message left by his Daughter Theresa, who he had long ago felt like he would never have the opportunity to know.  She was born while he was in the Army, he once had a small picture of her but says it was misplaced many, many years ago (to his dismay).  I created a card through the awesome Stampin' UP! MDS to announce her arrival into our family.  Bob and I can hardly wait to meet her and her family in person.  God is great, God is good.
I used some of the Pretty In Pink Satin Ribbon and layered onto  Basic Black CS.

Please join our excitement of welcoming Theresa into our family.

Halloween Card and Purse Card

I made a card and a little purse card yesterday ~ for the card I use water color paper for the stamping.  The Spooky is from the stamp set Wicked Cool and the bird is from Dark & Dreary.  I got the spider from Dark & Dreary and the spider's web from Wicked Cool!  I tried to antique it after stamping onto water color paper.  I used Early Espresso Classic and Soft Suede Ink.  The background paper is Wicked Fun Specialty DSP and I used the Victorian Ribbon and flat back pearls.  The card purse I cased from Inking Idaho.  I used the Wicked Cool Stamp set for the shoes and the leaf and stem are from the Two Step Bird Punch.  The paper is again from the Wicked Fun Specialty DSP and Basic Black CS.  The little purse closure is one of the new antique brads.  I also used some of the Chantilly Ribbon on the handle that was punched from the Scallop Oval Sizzix Die.

Spooky!

Here's a 4x4 card I created after seeing what my friend Tina made at her latest Club get-together. Not exactly the same, but close! Thanks for sharing Tina.

I used Basic Black CS for the base card, stamps from the Wicked Cool Stamp Set, Black Satin Ribbon, a little Binder Clib, some Rich Razzleberry for the sponging and a bat punched with the new Bat Punch and sprayed with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol. I stamped Spooky on Very Vanilla CS and layered onto Black CS punched with the Scallop Oval Punch and mounted with dimensionals. The green layer is Old Olive CS.

School Kids

I found this card at CardScraps and had to case it! I just loved the colors she used. The card base is Crumb Cake CS, then a layer of Basic Black CS, Real Red CS for layering and the new Love Letter DSP. Of course sponged with Early Espresso and the ribbon is the Black Satin. I think it gives it a real vintage look. The stamp is from the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set. I colored mine with Stampin' UP! markers and the Blender Pen.

Little Garden Pump & Wooden Barrel

I love this stamp from the Countryside Stamp Set. I did a little 3x3 card and colored with color pencils using the blender pen (which I'm lovin')....background card base is Crumb Cake CS layered with Basic Black CS and then Soft Suede CS layer ran through the Big Shot and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I used the new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and sponged the outside with Soft Suede Ink and punched little holes around the circle and punched with the retired Horizontal Slot Punch and put some of the new 5/8" Victoria Ribbon.

Elements of Style Purse

I finally am getting the little purse posted that goes with the card I made. Hope you like it, the instructions can be found at Card Scraps. I used the same stamp set as for the card and Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I sprayed with the Vanilla Smooch Spray and added the little White Statin Ribbon run through a piece of Hodgebodge Hardware. Check out Lianne's link for all the instructions. Thanks for posting such great tutorials Lianne.
Have fun and keep stampin' Hugs, Julia

Elements of Style Card

I saw this on-line at Card Scraps, haven't tried the little purse yet that goes with it, but I just loved her card and instructions. I used the Gray from Neutrals CS and Black Staz-On Ink and Basic Black CS. The stamp set is from Elements of Style and the back layer I used the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder and sprayed with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. The edges of all the Whisper White was sponged with Black Staz-On. I tied some Black Satin Ribbon around the card front before adhering it to the Gray card base.

I love this stamp sent, it's really vintage looking and looks good in so many colors.

Thanks for looking ~ keep Stampin' :o)
