Thank You box

I found the video instructions for this box on Beth Beard's Blog; My Little Craft Blog.  She has all the materials and instructions listed.  I love the vintage look and this box is made with the Milk Carton Die (I haven't used that in a while...).

It uses Modern Medley DSP (one of my current favorites), Black CS, Baked Brown Sugar CS & Ink.  The little Thank You is from Hello, Lovely Stamp Set.  Also used Early Espresso to sponge the edges and make them darker.  There is a large Basic Pearl in the center.

The box is actually pretty good sized, I'm going to use it as a gift box.  Thanks Beth for the great idea!

Christmas Square Swap

This was my swap for our Luv2Stamp Group Christmas Square Swap.  I should get my package from Patty today with squares from everyone who participated  ~ I'm so excited!

These were so much fun to make and so quick once I got the design down.  I used Brushed Silver CS for the Scallop Square (punched with the Scallop Square Punch).  Then a layer of Red Glimmer Paper punched with the 1-1/4" Square Punch.  I stamped the little reindeer head from the Jolly Bingo Bits Stamp Set in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla CS.  I punched that out with the 3/4" x 15/16" Punch and sponged the edges with Early Espresso Ink.  I added some Googlie Eyes and colored a Rhinestone with a Red Sharpie for Rudolph's nose.  Hope everyone liked the one I sent in to swap.

Retirement Card

One of our Supervisor's at work was retiring this week and we had a "going away ~ pot luck" for him.  I made him a card too...and he loved it!

I used Marina Mist CS for the base of the card.  the gold layer I made using the tutorial from last week's Splitcoast Stampers Tutorial on Faux Patina.  Check it out, the tutorial and instructions are very easy to follow.  The stamp set I used was Always Thankful for the can with straw coming out and I used my Stampin' Write markers to color the image before I stamped it.  The congratulations is from the Up in the Air Hostess Set (just the words off the little bird stamp).  I used my paper piercer and guide to punch a pattern in the lower left of the stamped image page.  The Framelits Label Collection for the frames on the inside.  The words for the inside were computer generated.  Some Marina Mist Sponging on the inside and Early Espresso on the outside of the congrats that was stamped on Very Vanilla CS.  Hope Steve has an awesome retirement, he's been a great friend and co-worker, I'll truly miss him.

Kitty Crittermas Notebook

Sorry I've been away ~ we had our trip to Idaho and while we were away I turned my puter off.....well, when we returned, it didn't!  It's been in the hospital for a few days and just got it back today...woo hoo!!!!

Here's a little notebook I made and took with us on our trip and gave it to our new found daughter ~ she loved it.  I got the idea from Angie Juda's Chic n' Scratch blog, she's so awesome.  I have her as a favorite on the side of my blog, be sure to visit her often.

I used colored pencils and blender pens to color the little kitten that is in the Merry Crittermas Stamp Set.  I used one of the circle punches to cut it out with a scallop circle and the Decorative Label Punch, all sponged with Early Espresso Ink.  The striped paper is from the Jolly Holiday DSP.  Thanks for looking!

Birthday Card for a Dear Friend

I thought my friends Birthday was this week ~ I rushed to make her a card and double-checked my calendar and it's not until next week! Yippeee...for once I'm ahead of the game!! LOL!

You can't tell from the picture but the background paper for the card base is Melon Mambo and the piece that I ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder is Pumpkin Pie. For some reason those two colors really compliment one another. I used the new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and punched out Island Oasis DSP and added the happy birthday and my friend from one of the new stamps sets called Perfect Punches. The "my friend" was punched with the Curly Label Extra Large Punch. I rounded the corners of the card with the Corner Rounder Punch and everything was sponged with Early Espresso Ink (another new product available tomorrow, July 1st).

It's so nice to have something done "ahead of time", now all I have to do is remember to mail it next week. Hope she likes it and has an awesome Birthday!!!
