Antique Floral Card

I love this new stamp set that will be available in the Summer Mini beginning May 1st. It's called Elements of Style. I used Black Stazon Ink to stamp it and then used Stampin' UP! colored pencils for the coloring. I flecked the background with a Pumpkin Pie Marker inserted into the Color Spritzer Tool. I cut a slit on each side of the bottom flower to run the Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon through so it makes it look like the ribbon is behind the flower ~ well, it actually is.. duh! I used a piece of Rich Razzleberry CS to outline the card and added a strip of Old Olive on the bottom punched with the Scallop Border Punch (which I understand is going to be available again in the new Idea Book & Catalog for 2010~2011). I mounted it all on a card base made with Pumpkin Pie CS. I used one of the little buckles from the Hodgepodge Hardware set as an accent on the ribbon.

Tulip Card

I saw this card on Dawn's site (wow is she awesome) .... then my Sister Judy made one and told me how quick and easy they were to make so I tried my hand....her 'tis~
I used Melon Mambo CS and Whisper White ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder. The tulip is cut using the XL Two-Step Bird Punch (Dawn explains it all on her tutorial ~ go check it out by clicking on her name in the first sentence of this post) .. I used Old Olive CS for the green and the Tiny Tags Stamp Set punched with the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch. The top is punched with the Slit Punch with White Organza Ribbon and Tiny Silver Brads. Sponged the Whisper White center piece with Melon Mambo Ink and stamped the sentiment with the same ink. I sponged the tiny tag with Old Olive Ink. Hope you like it and thanks for looking. :o)

Enjoy the journey!

This new stamp set that is coming out in the summer mini catalog is so cute! Here's my first card with the Pedaling Past Stamp Set. Reminds me of my childhood days and how we always had the bikes with the extension on the back so we could "pump" somebody home from school!

I used Kraft CS (will have a new name soon) for the card base. I then ran a piece of 4 1/4" x 5" Soft Suede CS through the Big Shot with the Big Dots Embossing Folder (love that one). Colored the bicycle with Stampin' UP! colored pencils stamped with StazOn Black Ink Pad on Whisper White CS using the Top Note Die for the Whisper White and Real Red. I sponged the edges with Soft Suede Ink. I layered it onto Real Red CS and added the Enjoy the journey! stamped with Soft Suede and punched out with the Word Window Punch and layered onto a piece of Real Red CS punched with the Modern Label Punch and mounted with dimensionals with Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon under it. I rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch.

Thank You

Here's a card that I lifted from Becky Roberts over at Inking Idaho. Too cute Becky ~ she makes a dozen, I made one! LOL!!! I used the Pink CS from the Bold Brights CS assortment and the Pretty in Pink Ink Pad along with the Pretty in Pink Striped Grossgrain Ribbon. The stamp is from Upsy Daisy set and the thank you from Happy Moments. Hope you like it ~ so simple it's almost elegant, don't you think?

Tropical Party Birthday Card

I got my inspiration for this card from Julie's Stamping Station ~ Judy (my twin) brought it to my attention. The new Summer Mini should be in the mail to all you faithful Julia Luvs 2 Stamp Customers and this stamp set is so cute! And I love the new Square Lattice Embossing Folder ~ after stamping the images in Old Olive I ran it through the Big Shot with the new Square Lattice Embossing Folder and I'm also loving the new Smooch Sprays. For this one I used the Vanilla Shimmer, you might not see it in the picture but it shines really pretty. The Birthday Wishes is from the Summer Mini too called Water Color Trio. I finally jumped on board and invested in the new Clear Mounts ~ wow, everybody was right, those are awesome. I ordered all my Summer Mini Stamps in Unmounted and they are very easy to use and even nicer than the wood mounts because you can see exactly where they're going to line up on your card. I used Old Olive CS for the layers and matching brads. I cut the Birthday Wishes with the Oval Punch and backed it with Old Olive CS punched with the scallop oval punch. Hope you like it?
Thanks for sending me to Julie's site Judy ~ got me motivated to make a card! LOL!!!

Blue Rose Birthday Card

I tried making one of the paper roses like Julie Williams at Simi Stamper shared. Those are NOT easy...but they sure come out cute, don't you think?

I used the Bride Specialty Paper and sponged it with Brocade Blue Ink Pad. The rose was Bashful Blue CS sponged with the Brocade Blue. The Happy Birthday is from the Well Scripted Stamp Set on Whisper White punched with the Wide Oval Punch. I used Old Olive for the leaves that were punched with the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch. The card base is Bashful Blue CS and I rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch. I also used Whisper White Organza Ribbon and behind the sentiment I added a Wide Oval Punched piece of Old Olive CS.

Happy Birthday Cordlan!

April 8th is my Step-Grandson Cordlan's B-Day ~ hope he likes the card I made (he's one that appreciates my creations!!).

They just got back from a week of snowboarding so I thought this would help him relive some fun memories.

I used the Extreme Snowboard Stamp with Rich Razzleberry CS, Ink and Dotted Ribbon, Bermuda Bay CS, and ran a piece of Thoroughly Modern DSP through the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder. I embossed the Snowboarder with Clear Embossing Powder. I also used Basic Black CS for one of the background layers. The Whisper White and Bermuda Bay CS layers were punched with the Ticket Corner Punch. I also spritzed the Shimmery White CS with Bermuda Bay Ink Pen using the Color Spritzer Tool. Hubby mailed the card today so he should get it by Thursday (I hope).
