I loved the way Diane Roberts created her Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge here. This is my version, adding the love from the Expressions Thinlits Dies and cut using a Silver Foil Sheet.
I also added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel to the little heart that's in the circle. The card base is Real Red CS and the Whisper White layer I ran through the new embossing folder called Decorative Dots which will be available as during Sale-a-Bration starting January 29th. I followed Diane's instructions for the red strip and white strip with Real Red Taffetta Ribbon and added the little pearls like she did.
I used the Label Love Stamp Set and punched it out with the Artisan Label Punch. The bitty hearts are punched with the Owl Builder Punch. The one in the center of the circle was punched with the Small Heart Punch. Thanks for sharing Diane, love your site (Score at Four and a Quarter)!

Table Saw Gift Card Holder
I saw this on Laurie Zoellmers's site some time ago. I ordered the tutorial and here's my version of the Table Saw Gift Card Holder designed by Amanda Corbet at Craft Project Central. This project was very tedious, not sure how anybody ever figures this kind of stuff out ~ let alone put together a step-by-step tutorial for it! Thank you Amanda...
Now ~ here's my version:
Will have to be somebody who will keep this gift (not just the gift card) before I'll be using it! LOL!!!

Wedding Card
Here's the card I made for Bob's Granddaughter and her new hubby. They were married yesterday in Laughlin, Nevada. We couldn't make it to the wedding but wanted to send them best wishes for a very happy life together.
I was really pleased with the way their card turned out. Love the new Labels Collection Framelits. Colored the pearls with a Sharpie for the "Marvin" heart! The Forever & Always is from the Loving Hearts Stamp Set. I used embossing folders, pearls, Black CS and Real Red CS along with the Very Vanilla CS.. They are awesome young people and I know they will have a very happy life together. Our love and hearts are with them.

Happy 4th of July, 2011

Here's the card and Kleenex Box Holder I created for my Brother & Sister-in-law who host our family 4th of July each year. I used the instructions from Splitcoast Stampers on how to create the box cover. I used Whisper White CS for the base of both, Real Red CS ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder for the next layer. The stamp set is Courage (isn't it totally awesome), I used Night of Navy Ink Pad and embossed the image. The lace is made using the brand new Lace Ribbon Border Punch. I added some Red Grosgrain Ribbon down the center, fits perfect through the holes.
God Bless our Troops, hope everyone has a SAFE and HAPPY Independence Day!
Hugs,
Julia

Valentine Girl
Moving on to Valentine's Day! I found these little clear clothes pins, they have a little magnet on the back. I added a heart (I used the Embosslit Scalloped Heart of Hearts. Punched it 2x out of Real Red CS, sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink and mounted onto a heart cut from the backing sheet we get in our packages of CS ~ made it all a little thicker.) I added the little girl with the valentine from the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set. I colored her with color pencils and used the blender pen. Her face and legs I used the Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Pen. I cut her out and mounted with deminsionals.
Hope you like her? I've been busy creating Valentine gifts, I'll try and get some of them posted soon. I'm having so much fun creating, forget to get back to blogging! Hope everyone is having a healthy winter. It sure has been cold (yep, even here in the Central Valley of California) ... I'm ready for springtime!
Keep stampin' ~ hugs to all, :o)

School Kids

I found this card at CardScraps and had to case it! I just loved the colors she used. The card base is Crumb Cake CS, then a layer of Basic Black CS, Real Red CS for layering and the new Love Letter DSP. Of course sponged with Early Espresso and the ribbon is the Black Satin. I think it gives it a real vintage look. The stamp is from the Greeting Card Kids Stamp Set. I colored mine with Stampin' UP! markers and the Blender Pen.

Butterfly Thank You
I used the cracked glass technique to create my butterfly ~ don't you just love it? I stamped Whisper White CS with the Elements of Style Stamp and put on two coats of the thick embossing powder, put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes and took it out and cracked the coating. I used the Soft Suede and sponged over the entire surface and then wiped out so the cracks would show up better. I mounted it on Not Quite Navy CS that had been run through the Square Lattice Impressions Folder and then mounted that onto some Pear Pazazz CS and then onto a card base of Very Vanilla CS. The thank you is from the Because I Care Stamp Set stamped in Soft Suede Ink and layered onto the oval of Pear Pazazz and the scallop oval punched from the Soft Suede CS. Hope you like it. Oh yeah, the center and tenicles of the butterfly are done with the linen thread.

Courage

This is the new stamp set called Courage. I stamped it on Crumb Cake CS with Early Espresso Ink and the word stamp on Whisper White CS. I mounted on Real Red CS and card base Not Quite Navy CS.
I had a friend over on Saturday and this is one of the cards I made for her. She was awesome, she's lovin' stamping ... woo hoo, somebody to share with. I just hope I didn't overwhelm her! So much fun stuff.
I love that all these people are willing to sacrifice time with their families and be brave enough to insure that we stay free. God bless them all and thanks to their families for their sacrafice to let them be who they are.
Keep stampin' and keep the prayers up that all our folks come home SAFE! Have a great week ~ Julia

Tricycle Journey

Here's my card using the new Pedaling Past Stamp Set.
I used the new embossing folder from the Summer Mini called Square Lattice and punched with the Scallop Circle in Real Red CS. Also used the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder on the Kraft CS and the Ticket Corner Punch and layered onto Basic Black CS. I mounted the tricycle, which I colored with Stampin' UP! Watercolor Pencils and punched with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch(after sponging the edges with Soft Suede Ink), onto the Red Scallop and then a layer of Black Wide Striped Ribbon. Enjoy the Journey from the Pedaling Past Stamp Set was punched with the Word Window Punch, sponged the edges with Soft Suede Ink and layered onto the Modern Label that had been run through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Ghiradelli Treat Box
Hi Stampers:
I craft-lifted this from Kay Sha's site .. Creations on Paper ~ the only difference is her instructions for scoring the box should have been 2/4/6/8 ~ everything else was perfect. I used Soft Suede CS, Real Red CS & coloring pen, 4 You is from the Tiny Tags Stamp Set. I used paper from the printed Bashful Blue DSP and the Bright Blue CS is from Bold Brights Pack of CS. I used the Ticket Corner Punch, the new Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit along with the Tab Punch and Slot Punch for the handle.

Check out the cute little Top Note Valentine Box I made today. I got the instructions from Kelly Nichole's site. I used Real Red CS for the box and first layer of the Top Note and Sending Love Specialty DSP for the top Top Note. The brad with the cute little heart on the front is one of the new epoxy Real Red Sending Love Brads. I put a band of Red Grosgrain Polka Dot Ribbon and one of the Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon. Faux Alligator Matchbox Clutch

This is another great idea from our Demonstrator's SU site, this was provided by Francine Yee, Kaneohe, HI ~ Inspired by Gretchen Barron.
It's a little Faux Alligator Matchbox Purse. You use the Matchbox Bigz XL die (I used Red CS and the little Brown Flower Brad. I used the Corner Rounder on the cornders of the flap. A piece of Red Grosgrain Ribbon (8") for the little strap.
The Faux look is accomplished by using VersaMark Pad and Clear Embossing Powder. Use your Bone Folder to make design, shake off the excess and heat the powder, doesn't it look like real Alligator Skin? (Well, except for the color!) LOL!!
It was a fun little project and come out really cute. Thanks for looking.

Dasher Christmas Card
I'm sure getting my money's worth out of the little Dasher Stamp ($8.95 on page 208 #116816 in the Stampin' UP! 2009-2010 idea book & catalog). I made this quick and easy Christmas Card. I stamped it in Real Red Ink and mounted it on Real Red CS, punched the bottom with my Scallop Edge Punch and made holes with my paper piercer. The background layer is from the Specialy DSP Christmas Cocoa and layered it onto a Real Red CS card base. A ribbon of striped Grosgrain Real Red and it was done! Hope you like it.

Christmas Creations 2009
I made some gift card holders and a tag...used the Designer Specialty Paper Christmas Cocoa. Scallop Circle, Top Note Die, Christmas Ornament Punch and Delightful Decorations Stamp Set along with Red CS and Soft Suede ink for sponging. The tag was punched with the Bigz Two Tag Die and the ribbon is the White Satin and there is a brad on the tag from the Pretties Kit and silver stretch cord for hangers. I got the Top Note Die idea from Inking Idaho and the other envelope looking idea from somebody's blog, but for the life of me I can't find it (so sorry) ~
