Springtime Blossoms

I found this card on Laurie's Stampin' Spot and just had to recreate it.  Laurie does such great work, thanks for sharing Laurie.

The branch and the sending Springtime smiles stamps are from the Easter Blossoms Stamp Set.  I used Blushing Bride and Basic Gray CS.  It's stamped with Black StazOn Ink and then you color in the blossoms with your White Gel Pen. I then added some Dazzling Diamonds Embossing Powder over the white blossoms once they dried by using my 2-Way Glue.  I used the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder on the edges of the layered Blushing Bride CS.  The saying is cut out with the Small Oval Punch and mounted with Dimensional onto a Basic Gray piece punched out with the Small Scallop Oval Punch.  The ribbon is the 5/8" White Organza.  I added 3 pearls up in the corner.  Hope you like it!

Bird Mini Milk Cartons

I used Inking Idaho's instructions to create this holder for 2 of the little milk cartons.  I didn't have the same bird stamp as she did so I used the bird from Nature Walk.  The holder is Baja Breeze CS and the Milk Cartons are Crumb Cake stamped with Versa Mark using one of the Clearly For You Background stamps.   I also used the 3 little birds on a line from the Clearly for You Stamp set to make my little circles.  I used the Brushed Silver CS to make them look like little tags.  I also used the mini binder clips to close the milk cartons and Chantilly Lace Ribbon around the top of the holder.

This is a fun little project and a great little tutorial if you go to Becky's link above you can print it out.  Have fun!

bring on the CAKE!

My hubby asked me to create a Birthday Card for his new found Granddaughter Melinda.  Thanks to the help of Dawn's Stamping Thoughts, I came up with this card.

I added lots of "bling" with the Rhinestones.  The card base is Regal Rose CS and Old Olive CS.  I used the Cupcake Punch for the little cupcake, the Modern Label Punch and Word Window Punch.  A little White Organza Ribbon and the stamp sets Bring On The Cake and Water Color Trio.   Now to get Bob to put it into the mail on time!!!  LOL!!!

Easter Bunny Basket

I found this on Inking Idaho's site, I didn't have the chicken stamp so I used the bunny from The Nicest Things Stamp Set.  I colored him with Water Color Wonder Crayons using the Blender Pen.  The basket is made from the Petal Cone Die cut down ~ Becky has the instructions on her blog Inking Idaho.

I used the Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Old Olive CS.  The handle was made using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  I also used the Scallop Circle Punch and 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  The ribbon is Night of Navy Taffeta.  The Old Olive CS was crimped and then cut in little strips.  I had some little chocolate Easter Bunnies that I tucked inside!  Won't be long and that bunny will be hoppin' down the trail!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I saw this card at CardScraps this morning and lifted it right away.  Here's my version using Pear Pizazz.  She used Old Olive and Garden Green for the two that she created.  I personally think her colors are deeper and look better than the Pear Pizazz, but hey, at least I made a St. Patty's card??? LOL!!!

I used Teeny Tiny Wishes  for the sentiment and So Happy for You Stamp Set for the "lucky" clovers.  The card base is Pear Pizazz with a layer of Crumb Cake.  I used the Top Note Die and Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Also the two smaller Oval Punches and the Scallop Oval Punch.  The ribbon I used is Pear Pizazz Seam Binding.  Hope you are all LUCKY on this St. Patrick's Day.  Happy Stamping!

Masculine Birthday Card

My Boss' birthday is this week and I wanted to make him a masculine card. I think this one fits the bill!

I saw the foil done on Jackie Topa's site Addicted to Stamping.  Just glue aluminum foil to a piece of card stock and run it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Makes it look like one of those tool boxes guys have mounted in the back of their trucks!  I added some tools from the Totally Tool Stamp Set.  The little folder was made with the Bigz Top Note Die using Pear Pizazz CS which I also ran through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and then sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink.  The Happy Birthday is from Bring On The Cake 2 of 2 Stamp Set.  I used Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets and ran a piece of Chocolate Chip Ribbon through and also along the edges of the Crumb Cake CS that the Happy Birthday was stamped on.  That was mounted onto a piece of Chocolate Chip CS that I punched the bottom with the Scallop Border Punch.  I think he'll like it??

Another Get Well Card

My Boss' wife was in the hospital all last week, poor thing.  Anyway, I wanted to send her a get well card now that she's home.

This is another idea I card-lifted from my Twin Judy!  Thanks again Jud~ ...  I used the Building Blossoms Stamp Set on Glossy White CS with Regal Rose Ink and punched with the coordinating Blossom Punch.  I used Ice Cream Parlor DSP for the front layer of the card, followed by a layer of Pear Pizazz onto Regal Rose Card Base.  The Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the embellishment is out of the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware.  I stamped the leaves on Pear Pizazz CS with Pear Pizazz Ink.  The center of the flower is one of the Designer Fabric Sweet Stitches Brads.  Sure hope she feels better soon!

Happy Retirement

We have another co-worker who is vacationing out before retiring.  I made this card for our group to sign and send to him so he knows how happy we are for him (jealous)!!!! tee!hee!

I borrowed this idea from a card Becky Roberts had on her site at Inking Idaho.  That lady is so crafty!  I used Springtime Vintage DSP and glued it onto Not Quite Navy CS and then ran it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  That layer is mounted onto a layer of Soft Suede CS and the card base is Baja Breeze stamped with the large flower from Elements of Style Stamp Set.  The Happy Retirement sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. I used the Small Oval punch to cut it out and then layered it onto Baja Breeze CS punched with the Scallop Oval Punch, both of those sponged with Soft Suede Ink and layered onto Not Quite Navy CS punched with the Decorative Label Punch.  The ribbon is Baja Breeze Seam Binding.  Hope you can see the embossing, it really makes this card.

Get Well Card for a Co-Worker

Here's a card I created for one of my co-workers that is off due to surgery.  I'll take it to our group meeting this month and everyone can sign it.  He'll certainly feel better knowing we miss him!

This is the first card I've created using the new Beveled Windowpanes.  They're so much fun and add a lot of class to the card, don't you think?  I used the Countryside Stamp Set for the Pickup and Loads of Love Stamp Set for the sentiment.  The Baja Breeze layer I ran through the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and then sponged with Soft Suede Ink.  I stamped the pickup on Water Color Paper and tore it around the edges and sponged it with Soft Suede Ink too.  I colored it with Water Color Pencils and used the Blender Pen.  The card base is Soft Suede and the ribbon I used is the new Crumb Cake Seam Binding.  I think Roy will like it and hope it cheers him up a bit during his recovery.

3 X 3 Cards

Here are a couple of little 3x3 cards that I card-lifted from my Twin Judy!  Thanks Jud~  ...so cute.  I used the Ice Cream Parlor DSP and Quick Accents Paper Pack.   The Stamp set I used for the bird and sayings is Silhouette Sentiments.  I punched out the sayings with the 3/4" x 15/16" Oval Punch.

Added a little sponging around the outsides and viola ~ cute litte 3x3 gift cards. Thanks again for the inspiration Judy. :o)

For You Card

Here's a birthday card I created with an idea from StampingSchool.com.  I used Elegant Soiree DSP and layered onto Bashful Blue CS.  The stamp I used was the For You Flower.  The stamp for the sentiment inside the card is free from Sale-A-Bration called So Happy For You, stamped with Night of Navy Ink onto Whisper White CS and layered onto Night of Navy CS with scallop border.

It's a Z-Fold Card using 5-1/2" x 11-1/4" base, scoring every 3-3/4" for a Z fold.  I used the 2-1/2" Circle Punch and then placed the For You inside after punching it out with the Fancy Flower Extra Large Punch.  It's a fun and easy card to make.  Hope you enjoy it!

Thank You Card

My Daughter's Principle let my Grandson and I tag along to a Conference they held in Sacramento.  Here's the Thank You card I sent to her as a thanks for a great week-end.

I used the new Blossom Petals Punch and Build a Blossom Stamp Set.  The center of the flower is one of the new Fabric Designer Brads from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I used Regal Rose CS and Ink.  The ribbon is Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding.  The leaves are stamped and cut with the Pear Pizzaz CS and Ink.  The Thanks stamp is from Hodgepodge Happiness and I used the StyledVanilla Hodgepodge Hardware and mounted it to the card.  I ran Whisper White through the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder with the bottom layer of Poppy Parade DSP from the Patterns Stack In Color.  The card base is Pear Pizzazz.  Sure hope she liked it because we sure enjoyed an awesome week-end in Old Sac!

Easter Basket 2011

My Chicnscratch did a little Easter Basket this morning on Utube.  So cute!  Thanks for sharing Angie.  Here's my version!

I used the Nursery Suite Specialty DSP for the sides.  The box is Crumb Cake CS, the Scallop Circle is cut from Marina Mist.  I sponged the outside of the White Circle with Marina Mist Ink and the rest with Crumb Cake Ink.  I added three little pearls on the front.  The handle is Pear Pizzazz Stitched-Poly Ribbon.  Go to Angie's site and you can watch the Utube tutorial or wait and she'll do another one on her blog.  She's so awesome!  The rabbit is from Forest Friends Stamp Set, love that little guy!  I added a bag of Jordan Almonds in the pastels to look like Easter Eggs!  Hope you like it!
