Birthday Card for Sis'

I created a Birthday card for my little sister using a card I got from my BFF Tina as an idea starting point.  (Thanks Tina)

The stamp set I used was Perfect Pennants stamped in Black and then stamped again in Strawberry Slush and the "a" cut out with the 1/2" circle punch.  The front was embossed with a retired embossing folder (sorry)!  I used Candy Dots on the centers of the flowers and one on the inside.  I lined the emvelope with Sweet Taffy DSP cut with the Envelope Liner Framelits.  I used the Oval Framelits to cut the front and the inside sentiment and border.

Perpetual Desk Calendar

This idea came from PaperCraft Button YouTube Video.  It was fun to create and a bit challenging, well, maybe not for some people, but for me....yep!  I was bound and determined to get it made, so here it is!

The base is Daffodil Delight CS, the DSP is Sweet Taffy and the Stamp Set is Memorable Moments.  You can also go to her Blog for additional instructions and measurements.

Friend's Birthday

Here is the card and box/gift I created for a good friend of mine.  The Faux Silk with Filter Paper instructions came from Stamping School.  I used different stamps than Linda Heller did but the idea is the same.

The card base is Lost Lagoon and I ran it through the Big Shot using the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder.  I love how deep it embosses.  The Flower is from Bloom With Hope and the leaves For All Things Stamp Sets.  The inside and circle are from the Amazing Birthday Stamp Set.  The circle top on the box was sent to me by Angie Juda when I ordered her Chic Stand.  It was there on my desk and I sponged around the edges and added an eye...viola!  Colored the Rhinestones with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities pen.   A little ribbon and mounted on Blackberry Bliss CS.

Sherri's Get Well Card

I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest, sorry but didn't get a name to associate with it.  If it's yours' that I CASEd, let me know and I'll add your credit.

I used Crumb Cake CS for the base of the card.  the next layer was Blushing Bride and the Band-Aids I did in Pistachio Pudding CS.  The little heart is more Blushing Bride and Red Glimmer Paper.  The better get better is from A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set.  The inside of the envelope was lined with Gold Soiree Specialty DSP and cut with the Envelope Liner Framelit.  I used the punch on the Envelope Maker to round the corners on the Band-Aids and ran them through the Textured Impressions and Perfect Polka Dots EFs.  The inside was computer generated.  My friend took a fall and had to have surgery on her wrist, hope she heals quickly!  Love you Sherri~

Another Baby Card

I created another Baby Card for a co-worker but this time it was in "Pink" for a "Girl"!

The Stamp Set is Baby, We've Grown for the sentiment and Something for Baby to create the baby buggy and the little flower.  I used Strawberry Slush CS and ran it through the Large Polka Dot EF.  The base of the card is Crumb Cake and behind the Gold Soiree Specialty DSP (also use the Gold Soiree to line the inside of the envelope flap).  Rhinestones for some bling and the new Natural and Old Olive Two-Tone Trim to tie a bow and go around the card.  I used the large oval punch and Decorative Label Punch for the sentiment.  The inside was computer generated.  I rounded all the corners using the Envelope Maker!

Make-a-Wish

My Daughter found a card at her local boutique that was created by Julie at Stamp Your Dream Designs.  This is my CASE using a little different CS/Stamps.

I used Blackberry Bliss for the Base.  The DSP is from the Sweet Taffy DSP.  I used the Banners Framelits.  Make a Wish is from Perfect Pennants Stamp Set.  Happy Birthday sentiment is from Playful Pennants Stamp Set.  The flowers are from Petite Petals and punched with the coordinating punch.  The inside of the card is Daffodil Delight.  I used the Candy Dots inside the little flowers.  Rounded the edges with the Envelope Maker.   Thanks for a great sample Julie, love your work!

Halloween Spider

These little guys come out so cute and are really pretty easy to create, thanks to instructions from Debbie's Designs

Use the Curvy Keepsakes Box Framelit and Basic Black CS.  The eyes are Whisper White punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch and then a couple of Basic Black inside cut with the 1/2" circle punch and drew some pupils with the White Signo Gel Pen.  The legs are cut with 2 Square Freamelit Dies put down together and then the squares are cut in half, cut four for 8 legs.  I bent the ends over enough to adhere a glue dot (had to roll it a bit to make it small enough, then just stick to the side of the box.  Thanks again Debbie for the great idea.

Daughter's Birthday Card

Here's the card I created for my Daughter's birthday this year.  She's a Pittsburgh Steeler Fan so always have to do something in black/yellow ~ I gave it to her last Thursday since she was going to be gone today for her real birthday and she loved it!

I used Hello Honey CS and ink.  Also Basic Black CS.  The flower is from Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set and punched with the coordinating punch (makes it so easy!).  The Happy Birthday is from Sassy Salutations Stamp Set and heat embossed using clear embossing powder.  Oval Framelits to cut the sentiment.  The striped paper is from the Moonlight DSP Pack.  I also put a little strip of black ribbon across the DSP to clean up the edge (Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon).  The inside sentiment is computer generated.

I CASE'd the Heart Frame

Brian King has a video on how to create this darling heart frame.  Go here and see it!  Thanks to Patty Bennett for sharing with our Luv2Stamp Group.

Here's the card I created using Brian's idea.

I used Black CS for the base and Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler & Strawberry Slush for the accents.  The DSP is Back to Black.  Born to be loved is from Groovy Love Stamp Set and Congratulations is Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and cut using the Bitty Banners Framelits.  The wide ribbon on the bottom is Cherry Cobbler Sheer Linen.  I used Rhinestones colored with Blendabilities for the accents.  Oh, and of course, the hearts are punched using the Heart Border Punch and the cente5 cut out with the Bracket Punch!

Thanks again for the idea Brian and for posting it to the Luv2Stamp FaceBook page Patty.

CASE of Ship from Stamping School

I belong to Linda Heller's Stamping School, some of her projects are amazing.  This one in particular where you can make a shadow image with your stamps using waxed paper.

I used Lost Lagoon CS and Stamp Pad.  The stamp set is Traveler.  The water I stamped off once and then stamped 3 times with Work of Art Stamp Set.  I used Black Memento Ink Pad for the ship and shadow.  Once you stamp the ship on your card you re-ink and stamp it on a piece of waxed paper.  Turn it over, line it up and lay down on your card and touch with your fingers to press down (don't move or it'll smear), when you lift you have the shadow of the ship, cool huh?  I used Red/White Bakers Twine and added the happy birthday tag (the happy birthday is from Something to Say Stamp Set).  I cut two tags the same size, one in Whisper White CS that is stamped on with the happy birthday and the background one in Cherry Cobbler CS. The Whisper White CS with the ship stamped on it is layered onto another piece of Whisper White and then to the Card Base of Lost Lagoon CS.  I really loved this technique and want to try it with other stamp sets.  Thanks Linda Heller for always having such awesome lessons on your site!

Baby Card

Here's the card I finally got finished for my Boss and his new family.  They had their first baby on March 7th.

I used Crumb Cake CS for the base of the card then embossed Coastal Cabana with the Large Polka Dot EF, the stamp set is Something for Baby and cut out using the matching Baby's First Framelits.  I used the new thick Baker's Twine in Coastal Cabana and punched a little flower and added some Rhinestones.  Used the Project Life (Cards & Labels) Framelits to cut out the square on the front to put the buggy on and also for the computer generated sentiment inside.  The DSP I used was Lullaby (behind the buggy and for an envelope liner) cut with the Envelope Liners Framelits.

B-I-L Birthday Card

Here's the card I created for my Brother-in-law.  His birthday is tomorrow.  I know it's flowers but my Dad loved dahlias so I'm sure Mike will too!  (Or NOT!)  LOL!!!

I found this card on-line at www.ConstantlyStamping.com, isn't it gorgeous?

I love the new Blendabilities from SU!  I'm still practicing using them, but have been pretty happy with the results so far!

The card base is Blackberry Bliss CS.  I used the Rich Razzleberry trio for the flowers.  The stamp set is Regarding Dahlias.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Perfect Pennants and I used the Banners Framelits to cut it out.  The background stamp is Gorgeous Grunge.  A little Linen Thread tied with a bow and viola ~ done!  The envelope liner was cut using the Framelit Envelope Liner and a page from the new mini paper stack Moonlight DSP.  I used a Crumb Cake Envelope. The card's in the mail, sure hope he gets it tomorrow....if not, Judy-you can show him this, otherwise; don't spoil his surprise!!!  :o)

Another Grad Card

My Nephew is graduating High School this week.  I made a card for him with Cindee Wilikinson's idea from her post that she got from Dawn O (same as the one I did for my Grandson, except different colors!

Seems like these boys are growing up way too fast!  should be starting First Grade, not graduating from High School!!!

I used Cherry Cobbler CS and More Mustard (retired) CS for this one.  I colored the gold Gold Bakers Twine with my new Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.  Also colored the little silver brad on top of the graduation cap with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities, so awesome!

Hamburger-Cupcake Box

Linda Heller had this on Stamping School.  I was having a time trying to put the new (available June 2, 2014 through my Stampin' UP! link - just click on the catalog) hamburger box together.  Me and hot glue don't exactly get along real well!  She showed a different way of putting the box together by using snips and cutting some of the fold lines and using Tombow Multi Liquid Glue.  Here's how mine came out:

The little Hostess cupcakes fit perfectly into the box.  I used the stamp set Something to Say and Polka-Dot Pieces.  The CS is coming in the new catalog also, it's called Lost Lagoon, don't you just love it?  The ribbon is Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.  I also used the Bird Builder Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack for the little flower on the front.  1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, of course the Hamburger Box Bigz XL Die, Whisper White CS, Basic Gray CS, Moonlight DSP Stack and Mossy Meadow CS. This will give you a "sneak peak" at some of the awesome new products coming out with the new annual catalog on June 2, 2014.  Oh yeah, the new Blendabilites are also coming out, they are alcohol based and that's what I used to color the rhinestones on the inside of the lid of the box.  So many awesome new products!

Cordlan's Graduation Card

My husband's Grandson will be graduating High School ~ here's the card I made for him.  The idea came from Cindee Wilkinsons's Just Sponge It!  She CASED it from Dawn O's site.  So glad they both "share" what they love!

Dawn O has a video.  The Perfect Pennants Die makes it easy to create the grad gown.  Cordlan's HS colors are Black/Red.  The inside is computer generated.  The scallop circle on the back has my OWN created stamp showing my blog information.  The inside of the envelope is lined with Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.

Fabulous is what you are

This is a card I CASEd from Dawn Griffith (Dawn's Stamping Studio) here.  Just loved this card and her video makes it so easy to CASE!

She/I used Sweet Sorbet DSP, Crumb Cake CS for the base, Flower Shop Stamp Set and coordinating  punch, , Million & One Stamp Set,  Petite Petals Stamp Set and Punch, Basic Rhinestones.  Dawn's video walks you right through all the steps, such a pretty card.  Thanks for sharing Dawn!

Grandson Birthday Card

I made a Birthday Card for my step-Grandson.  Hope he likes it?  I saw a barrell made with the Hardwood Stamp, thought I'd try and create one.  Couldn't find it again to CASE!

I used Soft Suede CS for the base and Baja Breeze run through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  The Hardwood Stamp Set on Crumb Cake for the barrel.  The flowers were punched with the Petite Petals Punch and I stamped some of the flowers using the matching Petite Petals Stamp Set.  I also punched some using Watercolor Wonder DSP along with some other scraps of floral DSP I found in my drawer. A little sponging and some Candy Dots for the centers.  I used the Envelope Liner Framelit to cut some of the Watercolor Wonder DSP for the inside flap of the envelope.

My Daughter is a Steeler Fan

My Daughter is a Steeler Fan and she also loves shoes!  I created this fun card for her with the Black & Yellow that she loves!

I used Daffodil Delight for the base of the card and the houndstooth is from Modern Medley DSP.  I used Black CS run trough Bigz Tasteful Trim Die.  She loved it.  I also cut the little heart in Daffodil Delight CS and sponged with black ink.  I used one of the cute clips elements (bird) to attach the heart to the front. The shoe is a current Hostess Set called Making Point in the Celebrate the Everyday Catalog. I stamped the shoe on Daffodil Delight CS and cut out the yellow part. I added Crystal Effects to the black part of the shoe.  I took it to her on Thursday this week, she loved it!

Fence Card

This is my CASE from Patty Bennett. Love her little fence card and she has a video on her blog, check it out here.  Too cute!

I used the Tag Punch for my pot along with the Word Window Punch.  I cut some flowers from the Sweet Sorbet DSP using the Petite Petals Punch and the long stemmed ones in the background I just used Paper Snips and "fussy cut" those out. The fence is from the Hardwood Stamp and the pickets are cut and the tops punched with the Chevron Punch.  A little sponging, added some Candy Dots and punched out a butterfly using my Butterfly Punch and adding some White Bakers Twine.  The clouds were cut using Word Bubbles Framelits.  The saying is from the stamp set Six Sided Sampler.  It was really fun to make and thanks for sharing all the instructions Patty!

Boss' Birthday Card

My Boss at my "regular job" is having a birthday this week-end, here's the card I created for him.

I created the background paper using First Edition Specialty DSP, crumpled and sponged.  The idea came from stampTV here.  The little bird and Happy Birthday Wishes is from the Simply Sketched stamp set.  I used Chocolate Chip Ink and CS along with Bashful Blue CS.  I added some Chevron Ribbon and Bakers Twine, along with a Designer Naturals Button.  I was going for the "masculine look", think I got it!

My Grandson's Card for 6th Grade Camp

I created a card for my Grandson while he's at 6th Grade Camp next week:

I used a Black card base.  The Raccoon and Trees are from the Life in The Forest Stamp Set and the word "Memories" is from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set.  The background is Daffodil Delight CS.  I cut out a moon with the 1" Circle Punch using Tangerine Tango CS.  I stamped the raccoon on Basic Gray CS and added his eyes back in and used a white gel pen to make them show up.  I stamped the trees onto Gumball Green CS and "fussy-cut" them and the raccoon out.  I used a piece of white Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon across a strip of Black CS on the front.  I did a little sponging around the moon.  He leaves in the morning and will be gone all week. I remember my 6th Grade Camp, hope he has as much as I did.  He's so excited!

Bee Card

I found this card on Stampinonthefly and couldn't resist CASEing it!  Here's my try:

I used Naturals White CS for the base of the card.  Just love the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die, cut off the outer edge and sponged with Early Espresso Ink.  You cut the beehive twice, once from Whisper White CS and the second from Daffodil Delight CS.  I sponged some of the cut-outs and added them to the solid parts of the hive.  I used Backyard Basics for the Bee and with the coordinating Framelits, made it so easy!  the hello sweet friend is from Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set.  I added some Basic Pearls and viola ~ her card is CASE'd!  Love it!  Thanks Jennifer, love your site!

Jeri's Frame

My friend at work said good-bye on Friday.  She's a retiree that came back for a 6 month job to help another department 5 years ago....now that's a long 6 months!  She's an awesome lady and has been a very close friend for many years ~ Best wishes Jeri!  This is the frame I made for her as a going-away gift:

The background paper is Pistachio Pudding CS from the In-Color Paper Stack 2013-2015.  I used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut out the saying and sponged the edges in Chocolate Chip.  The vases are from the Vivid Vases single stamp set, I fussy-cut them and stamped on them and used dimensionals to add them over the top of the stamped vases.  I added some flowers stamped out of the Watercolor Wonder DSP and added little pearls to the centers of the flowers.

Here are some of the products I used:

I gave it to her yesterday and she told me she has a perfect spot in her home to hang it!  Will miss you Jeri~
