Almond Roca Christmas Candy
These little bags come out so cute and the candy is yummy! My Sister (Twin of course) Judy told me where to find the recipe in my Betty Crocker Cookbook. They call it something else and don't put chocolate and toasted almonds on both sides like she does, but this stuff I had to get wrapped ~ it can be addicting instantly! MMMMMmmm. The topper is the Top Note Die cut from Real Red CS and sponged around the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink and the stamp set I used is Christmas Punch (sure getting my use from that set this Holiday Season). I stamped the sentiment in Real Red and layered onto Green CS. Hope you're all enjoying a busy but happy December.

Christmas Goodies
Here's another cute little treat bag of goodies using the Top Note Die and the Christmas Punch Stamp set along with Christmas Cocoa DSP. I used the Scallop Oval Punch to back the stamped image ~ I hand-cut the stamped image! (Aren't you proud of me Lene'e??) ... I gave this to my friend Jeri at work ~ she's been spoiling me rotten this week and I wanted her to have something special so she knows how much I value her friendship.
Christmas is sneaking up quick this year ~ I need to get my tree up! YIKES!!!!

Merry Christmas Hot Chocolate Treat
I saw a packet like this in the Craft Sale Kay Sha had on her site .... so many cute things. Go HERE and check out her blog. I used the Bashful Blue CS and Top Note Die sponged around the edges with Soft Suede Classic Ink. The Merry Christmas is a stamp from the Yuletide Christmas Stamp Set that Judy gave me. Stamped Whisper White with Brocade Blue Classic Ink and added some red berries with the Real Red Stampin' Write Pen. Punched it out with Scallop Oval Punch and sponged the edges with the Soft Suede. I added a packet of Swiss Miss Instant Chocolate, a Candy Cane, Hershey Kiss and some mini marshmallows in the bag for a treat. Perfect as a Christmas Eve treat while awaiting Santa's arrival!

Little Nugget Box
I went to my Sister Judy's today and she had made a little nugget box she found on Inking Idaho's site. I came home and found the directions and got one made. It has little 3x3 cards in it and 3 little nugget chocolates wrapped in DSP. There is a clear cover over the box to protect the contents and it's tied with gold elastic cord and a satin ribbon attached. Check out her site, she gives great instructions. Thanks for sharing Becky. :o)

Two Christmas Tags
I made a couple of little Christmas Tags with the Two Tags Bigz Die. I used the Merry Moments DSP and glued it onto chipboard and then ran it through the Big Shot. A bit of Soft Suede Ink for sponging and added the Sleigh being pulled by a horse using a stamp from the Yuletide Christmas Set, sponged around it in the Soft Suede and layered on to Real Red CS punched with the Oval Scallop Punch for one. The other one I used the Circle Scallop Punch with the Sweet Season Stamp that looks like a snowflake. I added a little glass brad from the pretties kit and mounted it with dimensionals to the long tag that had been sponged with the Soft Suede Classic Ink. I added the silver cord for tying onto packages or hangers if they're used as ornaments. Hope you stop by again soon. Hugs, Julia

Pine Tree and Pointsetta
The Whisper White layer was scored each 1/2". I used the tall pine from the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set and Handsome Hunter Classic Ink Pad to stamp it, once with the stamp fully inked and a 2nd time without re-inking. The pointsetta I saw on Inking Addict and adhered with a dimensional, and used Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and mounted the trees on Real Red CS and used the Green CS from the Earth Elements CS Pack as my base for the card.
Hope you like it? :o)

Christmas Goodies
I found these on Inking Idaho's Blog (she sure shares some awesome creations) ~ here's my version. I used Scallop Circle and Regular Circle Punches and the stamp set Christmas Punch. The candy between the layers is York Peppermint Patties and I put 4 of them into a celophane pretzel bag ~ tied with a ribbon and you're done! The candy cane is done with the same stamp set and punched with the oval scallop punch and tied on with the SU Silver Elastic Cord.

Mounted on Dusty Durango CS with Striped Bashful Blue for the ribbon. I used the Word Window Punch and mounted on Modern Label Tags.

Just For You Candy Canes
Aren't these cute? Judy told me to check out Inking Idaho and take a look. They were so easy to make, what a cute little treat for a classroom. I used the oval punch with the Oval All Punch Set and layered onto a piece of CS punched with the Scallop Oval Punch and attached with a little Glue Dot.

Faux Alligator Matchbox Clutch
This is another great idea from our Demonstrator's SU site, this was provided by Francine Yee, Kaneohe, HI ~ Inspired by Gretchen Barron.
It's a little Faux Alligator Matchbox Purse. You use the Matchbox Bigz XL die (I used Red CS and the little Brown Flower Brad. I used the Corner Rounder on the cornders of the flap. A piece of Red Grosgrain Ribbon (8") for the little strap.
The Faux look is accomplished by using VersaMark Pad and Clear Embossing Powder. Use your Bone Folder to make design, shake off the excess and heat the powder, doesn't it look like real Alligator Skin? (Well, except for the color!) LOL!!
It was a fun little project and come out really cute. Thanks for looking.

Trident Gum Pack
I found this on my Demo SU site ~ created by Cathy Daimon, Randi-Jo Kamaunu, Erin Addrade-Holmburg, Maile Souza, Kaneohe, HI ~ too cute, huh?
I used Very Vanilla CS, Old Olive CS, Chocolate Chip Ink Pad and Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad for the pine cones and Merry Christmas. The stamp sets were Teeny Tiny Wishes and Autumn Days. I used the Tab Punch for the green on the end, attached with brass brads and stamped with "Just for You". The CS for the cover is 6" x 4" and scored at 1", 1 1/4", 3 3/4" and 4", folded around the gum. I used the two way glue pen and added some sparkle (Dazzling Diamonds).

Crayon Resist Trees
I learned this from Linda at StampingSchool.com last night. I used a different stamp set than she did, but it was pretty much the same idea. You use black Staz-on ink to stamp the tree image on glossy CS. Then you add some white crayon to some of the branches that you want to look like have snow on them. Sponge the colors for the background (I punched out a 1" circle on a post-it-note for a mask while I did the sky), then took it off and sponged a ittle so it wouldn't be stark white. Use a clean part of your sponge to take the color off the places with the crayon and it looks just like snow. I added a scallop border. The background paper Bashful Blue I ran through the Big Shot with the Sizzix Distressed Embossing plate to give it some texture, added some Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon and Earthtone Base to match the scallop oval.

Shelby's B-Day Card 2009
Another Birthday! We have a lot of them this month. Bob's oldest Daughter and her two girls, his youngest Daughter plus my Sis' and a couple of friends! This one is for our Granddaughter Shelby ~ she lives in New Hampshire. I used the Just Buzzin' By Stamp Set, Basic Black CS and Crushed Curry CS and Pens for coloring. Circle punches and the Scallop Circle Punch. This is a diarama card, it has clear window sheet in the circle to make it look like a window. Hope she likes it! :o)

Top Note Box
I made this cute little Top Note Box and used the little horse and Santa Sleigh stamp from the Stamp Set; Yuletide Christmas that Judy gave me (thanks so much Sis')..stamped with Soft Suede Stamp Pad. I used Christmas Cocoa DSP to cover cardboard (I used the backing that comes with the long die cuts for packing), cut one edge so it would be straight and attached to the front and back of the little pizza box I made with Soft Suede CS and used the Small Oval Punch to punch out the stamped image and layered onto a piece of Soft Suede CS punched with the Scallop Oval Punch. I used Wide Double Stitched Blue Grosgrain Ribbon around the box and tied into a bow. The tutorial came from Splitcoast Stampers.

I used Crushed Curry CS and Basic Black, along with the dotted paper which is from the Night and Day DSP. I used Black Stazon Ink with the Sporting Stamp Set. Circle Punches including the Scallop Circle Punch and the MVP was punched out with the Curly Label Punch and sponged with Crushed Curry and Black Stazon Ink. The striped ribbon is the 1 1/4" Black Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. The cute little soccer player is my Grandson Johnny.

Bird House Looking Box!
I made this little box using Night and Day Designer Series Paper to cover the little box made with Bermuda Bay CS base. I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the rim of the lid. The circle hole is rimmed with the same paper punched with the Scallop Edge Circle Punch and punched again with the 1 1/4" Circle to make a frame around the window. The window has Clear Window Sheet covering he hole. I used one of the Crystal Brads from the Pretties Kit after punching out one of the flowers from the paper putting it on the top of the lid. The ribbon is Bermuda Bay White Dotted Ribbon laced through the lid.

Another Birthday
Veteran's Day is my oldest Step-Daughter's Birthday, she may not get this in time since she lives in New Hampshire, but ~ it's the thought that counts, right??? I used the Kind & Caring Thoughts Stamp Set and stamped the flower in Melon Mambo, used the matching Melon Mambo Dotted Rippon and Melon Mambo CS along with Chocolate Chip, sponged the edges with Crushed Curry Classic Stamp Pad. Stamped the best wishes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, the Word Window Punch with the Modern Label Punch along with matching punch used in the XL Curly Label Die and used the 2 Scallop Circle Die Cut for the ends/cut one circle in half and used Tea Party DSP.

Dasher Merry Christmas
Here's that little Dasher again! I stamed it on Whisper White and embossed with VersaMark and Silver Embossing Powder. Layered onto Earth Elements CS and Brushed Silver CS (I didn't have any Brushed Silver CS so had to order but sweet Judy game me a sheet today while I'm waiting, what an awesome Twin I have ~ thanks Judy)..I used a little of the Striped Grosgrain Red Ribbon and a card base of Whisper White. Fall Box
My good friend Tina sent this link http://clearlyistamp.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/10/altered-candles-and-a-gift-box.html I created my own design and added the oval window instead of a square one like she had. I used the Rich Razzleberry CS for the Box and covered it with Autumn Meadows DSP and I used the Bashful Blue Tafetta Ribbon. I stamped the leaf and acorn from the Autumn Splender Stamp Set and cut them out and sprayed with a mixture of alcohol and a few drops of the Champagne Mist All Purpose Ink. I don't think the picture shows the shine but it sure makes those leaves pretty. I used the large oval punch for the window and inserted a piece of clear window sheet for the opening.

Grandson passed his driving test!
Well, our Grandson Braylon passed his driving test ~ we are so proud of him. Papa Bob went and got him a GPS today so he won't get lost ~ he'll send it along with this tag I made for him by UPS tomorrow ...
I used the Rich Razzleberry CS and Ink Pad, the Bigz Two Tags Die and cut the B from the Sizzlets Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Set. I stamped the saying from the Sense of Time Stamp Set on Whisper White and punched out with the Scallop Circle Punch and sponged it all and used the White Gel Pen to make the stitches look real.
I used the computer to add some sweet encouragement and printed it out and cut and mounted it to the back of the tag. I think he'll like it!

Dasher Christmas Card
I'm sure getting my money's worth out of the little Dasher Stamp ($8.95 on page 208 #116816 in the Stampin' UP! 2009-2010 idea book & catalog). I made this quick and easy Christmas Card. I stamped it in Real Red Ink and mounted it on Real Red CS, punched the bottom with my Scallop Edge Punch and made holes with my paper piercer. The background layer is from the Specialy DSP Christmas Cocoa and layered it onto a Real Red CS card base. A ribbon of striped Grosgrain Real Red and it was done! Hope you like it.

Soft Suede CS layered with the Real Red CS punched and 5 of the Christmas Punch glued together to go inside the cut-out. There is a white card mounted to the back of the Soft Suede CS stamped with the Christmas Punch Stamp Ornament in Soft Suede. Tied a bow with the White Tafetta Ribbon.

This little Dasher Stamp is so cute. I stamped him in Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede, cut his body out of the Soft Suede and popped it on top then layered it onto Soft Suede CS and Rich Razzleberry CS onto a Whisper White CS background stamped with snowflakes from the Hostess set Christmas Punch. Also used the have a holly jolly christmas stamp from that set and punched it with the Curly Label Punch and popped it up, added Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon and layered onto more Rich Razzleberry CS & onto a card base of Soft Suede CS. Halloween Spider
I made one of those cute little spiders from Dawn's site. She does such cool tutorials. You will need Black CS, Whisper White CS, I used Dusty Durango CS, Scallop Circle Punch, Photo Corner Punch, 1/2" circle punch, 1/4" circle punch (retired), Mini glue dots and Adhesive. Oh yeah, I didn't have the kind of candy Dawn used so I found a round piece of covered chocolate in the Trick-or-Treat bowl. Isn't this little guy just too cute?

Dasher Matchbox
I made this little matchbox with the Dasher Stamp. I cut it out and rounded the corners with the corner rounder punch and sponged with Soft Suede. I sprayed it with the Champagne Mist mixed with alcohol and sprayed onto the Whisper White CS that had been stamped with with Dasher Stamp in Rich Razzleberry. The picture doesn't really show the sparkle well, but that spray makes it so pretty.

Butterfly Thank You Cards
I learned this new technique (Faux Foil) on StampingSchool.com tonight. You make a little box to hold 5 1/2' x 3 1/2" note cards. The cards are made by making a stencil, I used the Big Shot Beautiful Butterflies for my pattern. Use the sponge daubers to add Platinum Shimmer Paint and your Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the Thank You from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. Rich Razzleberry CS for the box and Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink Pad for the "thank you". I used the silver cord and added a little bow made with the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon. Clear sheets for the box cover. (Sorry but the shiny gives off a reflection when I'm taking the picture!)

Christmas Decoration Card
I totally cased this from Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho. I used Specialty DSP Christmas Cocoa and the sponging was Soft Suede. The pearls are from the Pretties Kit and I used the gold stretch cord and Brown Grosgrain Ribbon. I love the Ornament Punch, it makes doing these types of cards so easy ... just punch out 3 and glue 'em together. If you want to mail, leave off the pearls and it will lay flat in an envelope and when they open it up they can make the ornament stand out again. The other die cut I used for the background is another favorite, the Top Note Die.

You can't tell in the photo, but the trees shimmer (I used the new Champagne Mist in alcohol put into a fine mist spray bottle), they're so pretty. I used the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set stamped on Autumn Meadows DSP and cut two of the trees out with the oval punch. Ran the Dusty Durango CS through my Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. Layered onto Bashful Blue CS. If you need the directions check the Chic n' Scratch link. Judy used the new Autumn Meadows DSP, Classic Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay Ink Pads and Paper. Use the Oval All Stamp Set for the "Just for You". Also, inside we used the word window punch to make the hole for the gum to go in.

Well, I saw a card somewhere online and can't remember where, but the one I'm posting tonight reminds me of that card. I hand sketched the stems and leaves and used the little flower in the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set. Ink Melon Mambo, Soft Suede & Bermuda Bay along with the Melon Mambo CS, Bermuda Bay CS and Whisper White CS. I used the pearls and flower from the Pretties Kit and punched the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch. Hope you like it!

My 1st Scrapbook Page Using my digital STUDIO
We went for a visit to the Alpaca Farms today! It was so much fun and my Grandson Johnny really enjoyed getting to see all the animals and feeding the ever so friendly Alpacas. Below is a photo of the owner's weighing in a brand new baby Alpaca ~ the visit of a lifetime.
There were two farms that were open to the public today and Maureen Macedo works with my daughter (Johnny's Mom) and so it was really special to visit and meet such nice people.
This is the time of year when new Alpaca's are born and we were lucky enough to get to see a new one that had been born just an hour before we got there ... very exciting!
Oh ~ and my digital STUDIO made it so easy to save the experience with captions, added embellishments and stamps! Way cool!!!!
Beary Best Wishes Card
This little card I saw on the Stampin' UP! Demo website. I changed it up just a bit by running the Bashful Blue CS through the embossing folder Petals-a-Plenty. Used the border punch on the bottom and mounted onto Very Vanilla CS and then onto Basic Black CS. The hodgepodge hardware with pink tafetta ribbon ~ just like the sample. I used SU water color pencils on the little girl bear. She's just the "sweetest"! Thanks for looking and keep stampin'~
