JoAnna's Thank You Card

My daughter's good friend JoAnna made cupcakes for me for my Birthday ~ beginning of this month...sorry no pic', I already ate 'em all!  Anyway, this is the thank you card (folder) I created for her to thank her for all her sweetness!  I cased the idea from Patty Bennett, she has a tutorial on her blog, check it out ~ so cool to use the new Envelope Maker in other ways than making envelopes!

I love making the envelope inserts with the Framelits Envelope Liners, makes the whole thing really come together, don't you think?  I used Gumball Green for the base and Cherry Cobbler for the inside under my computer generated thank you note stamped on Very Vanilla CS and punched out with Deco Labels Framelits.  The front of the card and the envelope liner are from Season of Style DSP pack.  Thanks so much on the front is in the Simply Sketched Stamp Set.  Cut out with Circle Framelits with Candy Dots as embellishments.  I used my Word Window Punch to punch out the label for the little file folder.   The ribbon is Stitched Satin  in Gumball Green.

Thanks again JoAnna, you made my Birthday EXTRA SPECIAL!

Perfect Blend Card

The Perfect Blend Stamp Set is one of my most favorite that Stampin' UP! has out right now.  My Sis (twin) Judy found a tutorial (video) that Dawn Griffith has on her blog on how to create this gift card holder. I'm so lovin' it!  Judy made one:

Here's the first picture she sent me ~ so cute!

Then she used a clothes pin to make it stay shut....love it!

Then I couldn't stand it, so cute ~ I made 3!  Check out the video Dawn has, gives all the instructions, measurements, etc.!

Happy Stampin'

Daughter's Birthday Card

Happy Friday the 13th!  My favorite day to have 9/13 fall on.  My wonderful daughter Paula was born on a Friday, September 13th ...my lucky day!

Here's the card I created for her (my little Pittsburgh Steeler Fan)!

I used the new Thinlits - Label Card to create this card.  The paper is Basic Black CS for the base and Modern Medley DSP for the stripes and dots.  Since that paper was black/white I colored the white with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker so it'd be her team colors!  The balloons were cut with the small Oval Punch and the Owl Punch (feet) and White Signo Gel Pen.  (Patty Bennett taught us how to do this on her site...so cute!)  I used Cycle Celebration for the Celebrate A Sweet Birthday on the front.  The finally a day that really is all about YOU! is from the Really Good Greetings Stamp Set and I stamped the you! with Versa Mark and used White Embossing Powder, cut it out and layered it with deminsionals. I added some bling under it with the Clear Rhinestones. Needless to say, she loved the card!  Oh yeah, and all the Steeler stuff from the Sports Store in the Merced Mall!  Those people love to see me comin'!  I ran the Daffodil Delight CS through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  The little helmet was printed on Whisper White CS and "fussy cut"...  The message on the inside was computer generated.  Happy 45th my sweet baby girl~

Jeri's Thank-You Card

Here's a card that I created for my friend Jeri.  She's such an awesome lady.  I saw this paper used with the new Circle Card Framelit on Dawn Griffith's site.  I love that paper.  Patty Bennett showed us how to make the cards longer using the Thinlit dies, so cool!

Front

Inside
I used the Label Card Thinlits Die for my card.  The paper is from the Winter Frost Specialty DSP.  The base was cut using Coastal Cabana CS.  The stamp set I used was a Hostess Set called Simply Sketched.  The sentiment inside was computer generated and printed on Very Vanilla CS.  I colored the bird with Stampin' UP! Markers. The Silver for the labels is cut using the Silver Foil Sheets.

Thank You Ensemble for a really nice lady!

I reached out to a co-worker last week to help me obtain the use of a Conference Room in San Francisco.  Since I was not familiar with that office I tried to reach out to our Director's Admin for help.  She was not in the office but left a message for someone to contact in the event we needed assistance during her absence.  That lady was amazing, within 10 minutes she had a Conference Room reserved for my meeting.  In turn I decided to create something from Stampin' UP! for her and here it is~

The little notebook idea came from Patty Bennett, she shared it at our last Luv2Stamp Group Meeting and if you click on her name linked above is her Tutorial.  The color wasn't exactly what I wanted so I trimmed off the green around the closure and added a piece of Island Indigo to match my card colors.  The Gingham stripe I created using the roller wheel with the same name using Island Indigo Ink, cut it and mounted it to the front of the card and also used some for ribbon tails on the inside of the card.  The Thank You is from the Lots of Thanks Stamp Set and the You Can Never Have Too Much Happy is from the Yippee-Skippee! Stamp Set we received at Convention. The Flower is from the Flower Shop Stamp Set and I punched the flower out with the matching punch.  The Card Base is Island Indigo CS with a layer of Basic Black CS and then the sentiment and decoration is on Whisper White CS.  I used the Oval Framlits to cut out the center piece on the inside and the Large Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch for my name.  Also used Basic Rhinestone Jewels to embellish.  The Sycamore Street 1/4" Island Indigo Ribbon is retired but I had a whole spool of it and it matched!  The tag on the front of the notebook was cut using Framelits - Chalk Talk.  I used the Envelope Liners Framelit to line the inside of the envy and stamped flowers to match the card on the front of the envelope.  I'll have my Supervisor deliver it all to her in S/F on Wednesday when he attends his meeting.
