Hubby's Father's Day Card

Here's the card I created for my hubby for tomorrow.  I think he'll like it, he's such a wonderful husband and Dad to my daughter and Grandpa to my grandson.

I got the idea from our Luv2Stamp Group Challenge this month.  The card I scoped for the idea was from Barbara Hebert at Barbara Jean Designs.  I used the pick-up stamp from Countryside Stamp Set and the outline is our new Framelits ~ Apothecarty Accents.  The Happy Father's Day is from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.  The card base is Midnight Muse and the ink that's sponged on the cutout is also Midnight Muse.  I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip. The next layer is Crumb Cake that I ran through the Stripes Embossing Folder.  I died the Large Pearls with a Sharpie.

Hope you all have a wonderful Father's Day!

Butterfly Thank You Card

I made this Thank You card for one of the Supervisors (from another Department) because she surprised me with flowers yesterday for helping out her Department ~ how sweet was that?

I used Midnight Muse CS for the base of the card.  the front layer is Bashful Blue CS.  I stamped the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri on Whisper White CS and added 3 little Pearls to the center of each after punching them out with the awesome new Elegant Butterfly Punch.  The Thank You is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelit.  I used the new Delicate Designs Embossing Folder along the bottom and the scallop was cut (matches the Embossing Folder perfectly) with Edgelits Large Scallop.  I added a strip of Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.  On the inside I printed a message from my computer onto Whisper White CS, cut out with a Labels Collection Framelit and sponged the edge with Daffodil Delight Ink and added a couple more of the butterflies.

She wasn't in today so I'm hoping she will be tomorrow so she can open her card.  I left it on her desk in a Whisper White Envelope that has her name on the front along with another butterfly~  So nice to work with such thoughtful people.

Patty's June Challenge

Our awesome upline, Patty Bennett, has a challenge for June using the Reverse Masking.  Here's the card I created using new stamp sets; Harvest Blessings and A Fitting Occasion.  I used the Apothecary Accents Framelit for my mask on Very Vanilla CS.  The colors I chose were the new in-colors at Stampin' UP! Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit.  I used Designer Neutrals buttons and some Lucky LimeAde Bakers' Twine.  I used the 1" circle punch.  The torn edges of the image are sponged with Crumb Cake Ink and the ribbon is the new 3/8" stitched Satin Ribbon in Gumball Green.  Behind the torn image is Gumball Green CS ran through the new Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then layered onto a card base of Summer Starfruit CS.

Hope you like it.  I may use it for my Brother-in-law's Birthday Card later this month...it would be very much up his "alley"!

New Stuff!

I spent most of my day ordering from the new 2012-2013 Stampin' UP! Catalog.  Then I decided I needed to make a card and post using some of the pre-order product I was able to get ahead of time for being a Demonstrator...yeah!!!

I used the new "in-colors" for 2012 Primrose Petals and  Summer Starfruit, combined with Basic Gray CS and Patio Party DSP.  I used Basic Gray for the second layer and ran it the the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  the happy birthday banner is from the new Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and I used the Bitty Banners Framelits to cut it out.  I used the medium Oval Punch for the For You and Summer Starfruit Ink Pad and the rest of the label was stamped with Primrose Petals using the Layered Labels Stamp Set.  The ribbon is White Stitched 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.  The card base is Primrose Petals CS and the little scallop piece through the center is Summer Starfruit CS.

Hope you all had a great week-end!
