Hello Kitty Thank You Card

Got the idea for this card from Connie Stewart at Simply Simple Stamping.  My niece got a new phone for Christmas and was texting me a thank you for the Christmas gift we had left at my Sister's for her.  So sweet, so I made this card for her. (Don't think she's been to my Sister's to get it yet, I didn't have her mailing address because they had just moved.)

I had to use the retired butterfly punch for the ribbon (luckily I found it in my spare room).  The center of the bow is a 3/4" Circle Punch and I added a Rhinestone.  The eyes are Basic Black CS punched with the 1/2" circle punch.  The nose is Daffodil Delight Yellow punched with the small oval punch and the whiskers I just hand drew.  I used the little Tag Punch for the hello was part of the little coo coo clock stamp in the Easy Events 2 of 2 stamp set.  I thought it was Connie's sight I found the card but when going back could only find the bag she made, pretty much the same recipe.  The inside of the card is computer generated and I added some butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits.  I know she's going to be surprised and love getting mail at her Grandma's house.

Birthday

I purchased a template from Tanya Bell at Stampting T.  That lady does such cool stuff!  Here's my version of her shoe (not even close to her expertise!)....but it was fun.  I have a co-worker/friend that loves shoes and I bought this tutorial to make her a birthday card, needless to say, a bit late ~ but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?  LOL!!!

I know she'll love it, or at least pretend she does!!!  I used Champagne Glimmer Paper for the "bling", Basic Black CS for the base of the shoe, Gray for the inside of the shoe and Birthday Wishes is from Bring On the Cake Stamp Set in Black StazOn and clear embossing powder.  The card base is Pink Pirouette CS.   Whew, glad I finally got that one done, I'm really LATE!!!!  Sorry Kerry~

The Birthday Wishes looks a bit crooked in the photo, but that's because the card opens up and the angle makes it look that way.  See:

Thanks for the inspiration Tanya and doing a tutorial for purchase that would give me the opportunity to appreciate you even more!!!

My Cousin's Birthday Card

Judy & I are twins.  We had twin cousins 2 years older than us, Delilah & Charlene.  We lost Delilah to cancer and Charlene to Arkansas!  I'm sending Char this Birthday Card so she knows how much we love and miss her.

I used Pink Piroutte CS for the base of the card and the Edgelets Adorning Accents to cut the edge and then embossed with the Edgelet Embossing Folder.  The flowers are from Bordering on Romance Stamp Set and the best wishes is from Short & Sweet Stamp Set.  I colored with Stampin' Write Markers Pink Pirouette and Lucky Limeade.  I sponged the edges with Pink Piroutte Ink. I rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch and used the Framelits Label Die to create the front and inside and embossed the oval with the Textured Impressiojns Designer Frames Embossing Folder, cut the flower out with the Large Oval Punch and added some Basic Pearls to the flowers.  I know she will love hearing from me and I miss her so much.  The four of us were always so close and after losing D, Charlene became our triplet.  Love you Char, hope your day is half as awesome as you are.  Love and miss you tons...your Cousin ~

I found this card on DO Stamping with Dawn, thanks so much for the great instructions and idea Dawn.

Granddaughter Birthday Card

Today is my hubby's Granddaughter's Birthday.  She lives in Arizona. Here's the card I made that he sent to her.

I used Regal Rose CS for the base of the card.  I ran a piece of Pink Pirouette CS through the Stripes Embossing Folder and a piece of Spice Cake DSP for the background on the bottom.  I used some of the Blushing Bride Satin Pleated Ribbon.  Bring on the cake is from the Bring On The Cake Stamp Set.  I punched it out with the Oval Punch and the Scallop Oval Punch and mounted in the center.  I colored some of the Clear Rhinestones with a pink Sharpie (it's permanent ink so doesn't rub off the rhinestones once it dries).  The top I stamped using the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set with Early Espresso Ink and cutting with the Framelits Die.  More sponging with Early Espresso around the edges and a clear Rhinestone on the little flower in the center.

Hope Melinda has a wonderful Birthday and she gets her card in the mail.  Happy Birthday sweetie!

Baby Card

I made a card for a co-worker that just got his first Granddaughter.  He has been so excited and let the spoiling begin!

I saw a card similar to this created by Nancy Dawson of Paper Dreams & Creative Wishes, she did her's in blues and greens, my card is for a baby girl.  I only did three drawers, she has 4.  I used Pink Pirouette CS for the base, some of the new Printed Designer Brads for the drawer pulls, some Chocolate Chip ink for sponging around the edges.  The little baby things were stamped with the Baby Bundle Stamp Set and colored with the Blender Pen using Water Color Wonder Crayons.

Easter Bunny Basket

I found this on Inking Idaho's site, I didn't have the chicken stamp so I used the bunny from The Nicest Things Stamp Set.  I colored him with Water Color Wonder Crayons using the Blender Pen.  The basket is made from the Petal Cone Die cut down ~ Becky has the instructions on her blog Inking Idaho.

I used the Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Old Olive CS.  The handle was made using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  I also used the Scallop Circle Punch and 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  The ribbon is Night of Navy Taffeta.  The Old Olive CS was crimped and then cut in little strips.  I had some little chocolate Easter Bunnies that I tucked inside!  Won't be long and that bunny will be hoppin' down the trail!

Wendy's Birthday Card

November is a big Birthday month for us.  Here's the first of several cards I need to get into the mail.
I used Basic Gray CS for the card base and Pink Pirouette CS for the first layer and ran it through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder on the bottom half.  The Melon Mambo CS was used for the backing on the greeting Birthday Wishes from the Watercolor Trio Stamp Set.  I used the Decorative Label Punch and punched out one White CS and one Melon Mambo CS, cut the white ones in two and made a backing for the Melon Mambo label.  I cut the stamped image out with the Small Oval and sponged with Melon Mambo Ink.  I added 3 Basic Pearls below the greeting.  The flowers on the top are from the Just Believe Stamp Set.  I added Basic Pearls to two of the flowers and I sponged the edge of that with the Melon Mambo ink also.  The Rick-Rack across the center of the card is Melon Mambo CS cut with the Bigz Die Tasteful Trim.  I used more flowers on the inside stamped with Melon Mambo and Basic Gray Ink.  Sure hope Wendy likes her card.  She's in New Hampshire so it has a long way to travel to get to her.

Birthday Card

Another year! I made this Birthday Card the same as one I did earlier, except I used the Early Espresso to sponge the edges of the water color paper. I used the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder. The stamp is from The Nicest Things Stamp Set and the Happy Birthday is from the Perfect Punches Stamp Set. I cut it out with the Large Oval Punch and sponged the edges. I mounted it with deminsionals and put some of the new pearls in the corners that were punched with the Ticket Corner Punch. It's layered onto a card base of Pink Pirouette CS.

Cased another card ~ hello baby!

This lady (Jackie Topa) is awesome ~ she did a video tutorial on this card. Check out her blog; Addicted to Stamping and see what I mean!

I pretty much followed her instructions. I used the Whisper White for my Base Card and sponged with Pink Pirouette. I used the little Sizzlet Lil' Paws for my bear and sponged him with Soft Suede. The stamp set I used for the Onesie is the stamp wheel Baby Tees. I used the Word Window Punch for the post the hanger (made from a paper clip) is hanging on. I used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Paper Crimper, Ticket Corner Punch on the drawers and Curly Label Punch for the bottom of the dresser.

Thanks for looking! Happy Stampin'

Girl Birthday

I received the blender pens with my demonstrator kit and have never used them. I read somewhere that you are supposed to use them with Stampin' Write Markers and Watercolor Paper. Wow, I'm so glad I saw that tip!

I won't name all the colors of pens I used, the background layer is Pink Pirouette CS ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder layered onto Melon Mambo CS. I added 4 of the new Basic Pearl Jewels to the corners that I punched with the Ticket Corner Punch. The little girls are from the new set The Nicest Things and the Happy Birthday is from the Perfect Punches Stamp Set. I cut it with the Large Oval Punch. I used deminsionals to mount it onto the card.
