Birthday Time!

My sister is having a birthday, she lives down south so won't get to see her :o( but I hope my card helps her to have a very "special day"!

I used the For the Birds Stamp Set and colored with ink from markers scribbled onto a clear block using the blender pen.  The flowers were cut using Floral Frames Framelits and the larger one I ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder.  The mailbox was cut with the Decorative Label Punch.  The paper is Patio Party DSP and the ribbon is Primrose Petals Satin Stitched Ribbon.  The Daffodil Delight layer I ran through the Big Shot using the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The card base is Midnight Muse CS.

Happy Birthday Sis', Love you much ~

Grad Card

My sweet friend BeBe was graduating from Sac State last week-end.  This is the card I created for her special day!

I used the Melon Mambo CS for the base of the card.  Mixed Bunch Stamp Set using Melon Mambo Ink Pad to stamp the flower and punched it out with the Blossom Punch.  The background paper is from Mocha Morning DSP pack.  The Congrats is from Tagtastic Stamp Set and I made a little banner out of more Melon Mambo CS.  I punched the Congrats with the Decorative Label Punch and added 3 little Rhinestones.  The inside I created on my computer and cut it out with the Labels Framlits.

Hope she likes it!  Oh yeah, added the little key using Baker's Twine...cute, huh?

Note Pad

Here's a little note pad holder I made for my Hygienist at the DDS office.  She's such a sweetie and is always asking what crafting I've been up to.  She was so excited when I gave this to her.  I found the instructions at Connie Stewart's site.  You only use one piece of 8-1/2 x 11 card stock ... too cool, huh?

I used Basic Black CS for the holder and the Language of Friendship Stamp Set.  I stamped with Black StazOn and punched with the Bird Builder Punch.  The little flowers are from the same stamp set and match up with the Boho Blossoms Punch (sure is a lot easier than trying to hand cut all that stuff!)  The saying is from the same stamp set too and punched with the Decorative Label Punch and sponged with Black SazOn Ink.  I added some Rhinestones to the flowers and the little saying and a little booglie eye to the bird (sorry, those are in my stash, not a SU product ~ yet!). I wrapped a piece of Wide Striped Black Ribbon around the top of the box before adhereing my bird and flowers.

I used the oval punch on the front of the box so you can access the note paper easier.  Check out Connie's site Simply Simple Stamping with Connie Stewart, she has some great box making tutorials.

Birthday Card for a co-worker

Here's the card I made for my counter-part in Bakersfield.  She loves shoes!  I used the flip-flop stamp from the Sunny Fun Stamp Set.  The striped DSP is Just Add Cake.  The card base is Melon Mambo CS and the ribbon is the new Chocolate Chip Scallop Dots Ribbon.  The happy birthday stamp is from the Bring On The Cake Stamp Set.  I used Elegant Egg Plant CS and ran it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I added a little bling with the Jewels Basic Rhinestones.  I colored the shoes with Stampin' Write Markers and the Blender Pen.  I used the Large Oval Punch for the cake and Decorative Label Punch behind it.  I sponged the Oval with Early Espresso Ink.  Now all I have to do is get it in the mail!  :o)

Easter Treats for my Grandson to take to school

Here are all the treats we ended up making for Johhnny's Class (25 total) ~ hope it's enough?  I think he has about 23 classmates, we should be good?

And ~ for his Teacher, we made a little clear bucket with a stuffed rabbit inside and decorated it with the Pink Butterfly on top and made a little 3x3 card to match the decoration on top of the lid.

May the Blessings of Easter find all my friends and family.  May the Easter Bunny hide lots of eggs for the little ones and hope everyone has a Blessed Day.

Big hugs from me....

Kitty Crittermas Notebook

Sorry I've been away ~ we had our trip to Idaho and while we were away I turned my puter off.....well, when we returned, it didn't!  It's been in the hospital for a few days and just got it back today...woo hoo!!!!

Here's a little notebook I made and took with us on our trip and gave it to our new found daughter ~ she loved it.  I got the idea from Angie Juda's Chic n' Scratch blog, she's so awesome.  I have her as a favorite on the side of my blog, be sure to visit her often.

I used colored pencils and blender pens to color the little kitten that is in the Merry Crittermas Stamp Set.  I used one of the circle punches to cut it out with a scallop circle and the Decorative Label Punch, all sponged with Early Espresso Ink.  The striped paper is from the Jolly Holiday DSP.  Thanks for looking!

Wendy's Birthday Card

November is a big Birthday month for us.  Here's the first of several cards I need to get into the mail.
I used Basic Gray CS for the card base and Pink Pirouette CS for the first layer and ran it through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder on the bottom half.  The Melon Mambo CS was used for the backing on the greeting Birthday Wishes from the Watercolor Trio Stamp Set.  I used the Decorative Label Punch and punched out one White CS and one Melon Mambo CS, cut the white ones in two and made a backing for the Melon Mambo label.  I cut the stamped image out with the Small Oval and sponged with Melon Mambo Ink.  I added 3 Basic Pearls below the greeting.  The flowers on the top are from the Just Believe Stamp Set.  I added Basic Pearls to two of the flowers and I sponged the edge of that with the Melon Mambo ink also.  The Rick-Rack across the center of the card is Melon Mambo CS cut with the Bigz Die Tasteful Trim.  I used more flowers on the inside stamped with Melon Mambo and Basic Gray Ink.  Sure hope Wendy likes her card.  She's in New Hampshire so it has a long way to travel to get to her.
