These little guys come out so cute and are really pretty easy to create, thanks to instructions from Debbie's Designs!
Use the Curvy Keepsakes Box Framelit and Basic Black CS. The eyes are Whisper White punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch and then a couple of Basic Black inside cut with the 1/2" circle punch and drew some pupils with the White Signo Gel Pen. The legs are cut with 2 Square Freamelit Dies put down together and then the squares are cut in half, cut four for 8 legs. I bent the ends over enough to adhere a glue dot (had to roll it a bit to make it small enough, then just stick to the side of the box. Thanks again Debbie for the great idea.

Luv2Stamp Group Meeting October 2012
We had so much fun at Patty's Meeting yesterday. What an awesome group, what great ideas and swaps! This is the card I did for the trade:
It's always so hard to vote for your 3 favorites because I love them all! I used Black CS for the base, ran Whisper White CS through the Spider Web Embossing Folder after stamping with the little spider from Googly Ghouls (of course added the Googlies eyes) and the Trick or Treat from Toxic Treats Stamp Sets.
Happy Halloween everyone!

Lisa's Graduation
One of my Daughter's BFF's graduated from college this last week-end and we were invited to her grad party on Friday night! This is the card I made for her:
I used the flower from Everything Eleanor Stamp Set and the medal I made using the Blue Ribbon Stamp Set. I used Riding Hood Red Ink for the Flowers and congrats GRAD and congrats tails! I used Red Glimmer Paper as the frame and Black CS around that all mounted on Whisper White CS. The inside was computer generated. I added some Basic Rhinestone Jewels for some added glam!

Easter Bunny Basket
I found this on Inking Idaho's site, I didn't have the chicken stamp so I used the bunny from The Nicest Things Stamp Set. I colored him with Water Color Wonder Crayons using the Blender Pen. The basket is made from the Petal Cone Die cut down ~ Becky has the instructions on her blog Inking Idaho.
I used the Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Old Olive CS. The handle was made using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. I also used the Scallop Circle Punch and 1-3/8" Circle Punch. The ribbon is Night of Navy Taffeta. The Old Olive CS was crimped and then cut in little strips. I had some little chocolate Easter Bunnies that I tucked inside! Won't be long and that bunny will be hoppin' down the trail!

Little Desk
I saw this little desk posted on a blog quite some time ago and printed out the picture. Today my puter was sick (didn't want to turn on for me) ... so I had time to play instead of surfing all day!!! Here's my version of what I found on Madeline Morcelo's site The Stamping Studio. Hope you like it? I used the Matchbox Die cut for the drawers using Chocolate Chip CS and little brads from the neutrals collection. The top of the desk is Crumb Cake CS with a layer of Bashful Blue CS. The desk pad is Crumb Cake CS with Whisper White CS. The little cup is Chocolate Chip CS wrapped with linen thread and secured with a little Bronze Clip.

Butterfly Thank You
I used the cracked glass technique to create my butterfly ~ don't you just love it? I stamped Whisper White CS with the Elements of Style Stamp and put on two coats of the thick embossing powder, put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes and took it out and cracked the coating. I used the Soft Suede and sponged over the entire surface and then wiped out so the cracks would show up better. I mounted it on Not Quite Navy CS that had been run through the Square Lattice Impressions Folder and then mounted that onto some Pear Pazazz CS and then onto a card base of Very Vanilla CS. The thank you is from the Because I Care Stamp Set stamped in Soft Suede Ink and layered onto the oval of Pear Pazazz and the scallop oval punched from the Soft Suede CS. Hope you like it. Oh yeah, the center and tenicles of the butterfly are done with the linen thread.

My Baby Buggy

I found this on-line by Sandi MacIver . She said it isn't her original idea but she does give all the directions on how to make it. She couldn't remember where she originally found it (sorry). You use the Large Sizzix Circle Scallop Die, (I used Bashful Blue CS) the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder. Whisper White CS punched with the Eyelet Border Punch. Use the 1-1/4" circle punch along with the 1/2" circle punch to make the wheels and the spinner on the hood of the carriage. A couple of brads from the Hodgepodge Hardware Kit and that's it. Check out Sandi's site for all the instructions. Thanks Sandi!

Another Elements of Style Purse and Card
Here's another project I lifted from CardScraps. The first one I did in black/white, this one is Not Quite Navy. Go down a ways and you can see it and the information on how I made it. The only difference is I used Not Quite Navy CS and Classic Ink. Also, I used White Tafetta Ribbon and died it with my Not Quite Navy Classic Ink for the handle on the purse. I also added a little white pearl and a flower from the Pretties Kit for the closure on the purse using a little Not Quite Navy ink sponged on the flower to help it match. Hope you like it!

Valentine Treats for my Grandson's Classmates

I used Dawn's idea on her February 4th post for the little Life-Saver treats and created some for my Grandson's Classmates. I used the friend to friend stamp from the Love You Much Stamp Set. Cut them with the Word Window Punch, a little Soft Suede sponging and glued them onto Whisper White CS cut from the Curly Label Punch and stapled them onto the little candy and added a little heart that was punched from the new Small Heart Punch that's in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Super easy and super cute! Oh yeah, can you tell my G-son's favorite color is red, had to pick all the ones I could find..tee!hee!

Faux 3D Technique Meets The Easel Card

Linda @ StampingSchool.com showcased this technique last night. It turns out so awesome, actually looks 3D! Put together with the Splitcoast Stampers Tutorial last week for the Easel Card by Beate Johns, this is what I came up with. Hope you like it? I used Always Artichoke CS and Classic Ink Pad. The third stamping of the image was with VersaMark, it makes a darker image than the card stock you're using. Also Chocolate Chip and Whisper White CS. The Large Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch. The stamp sets I used were Inspired by Nature for the flowers and Kind & Caring Thoughts for the Best Wishes. I punched the little butterfly out of the new Embosslits Beautiful Wings and colored the little indented circles from behind with Mellow Moss Pen. I've added a little Chocolate Chip Tafetta Ribon after I took the picture ~ I put it on the stem of the flower on the left.
Linda's instructions for the Faux 3D Technique are:
Stamp a solid image using white pigment ink to create the highlight. Clean stamp and ink again with a darker ink using a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig or a good eye to place image slightly lower and to the left. Clean stamp and ink again using the darkest ink color to create the shadow, using stamp positioner to place image a little lower and to the left again.

Pine Tree and Pointsetta

The Whisper White layer was scored each 1/2". I used the tall pine from the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set and Handsome Hunter Classic Ink Pad to stamp it, once with the stamp fully inked and a 2nd time without re-inking. The pointsetta I saw on Inking Addict and adhered with a dimensional, and used Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and mounted the trees on Real Red CS and used the Green CS from the Earth Elements CS Pack as my base for the card.
Hope you like it? :o)

Crayon Resist Trees
I learned this from Linda at StampingSchool.com last night. I used a different stamp set than she did, but it was pretty much the same idea. You use black Staz-on ink to stamp the tree image on glossy CS. Then you add some white crayon to some of the branches that you want to look like have snow on them. Sponge the colors for the background (I punched out a 1" circle on a post-it-note for a mask while I did the sky), then took it off and sponged a ittle so it wouldn't be stark white. Use a clean part of your sponge to take the color off the places with the crayon and it looks just like snow. I added a scallop border. The background paper Bashful Blue I ran through the Big Shot with the Sizzix Distressed Embossing plate to give it some texture, added some Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon and Earthtone Base to match the scallop oval.
