Jeri's Frame

My friend at work said good-bye on Friday.  She's a retiree that came back for a 6 month job to help another department 5 years ago....now that's a long 6 months!  She's an awesome lady and has been a very close friend for many years ~ Best wishes Jeri!  This is the frame I made for her as a going-away gift:

The background paper is Pistachio Pudding CS from the In-Color Paper Stack 2013-2015.  I used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut out the saying and sponged the edges in Chocolate Chip.  The vases are from the Vivid Vases single stamp set, I fussy-cut them and stamped on them and used dimensionals to add them over the top of the stamped vases.  I added some flowers stamped out of the Watercolor Wonder DSP and added little pearls to the centers of the flowers.

Here are some of the products I used:

I gave it to her yesterday and she told me she has a perfect spot in her home to hang it!  Will miss you Jeri~

En Francais

I saw this card in Chiaki Haverstick's Blog and wanted to recreate it!  It was really different and can be used for many different occasions!

She used the En Francais background stamp, Crumb Cake and Perfect Plum CS for the base (which I didn't have so substituted Wisteria Wonder CS).  The hearts were sponged using a template cut with Hearts Collection Framelits and Raspberry Ripple, Rose Red and Perfect Plum ink pads.  The background En Francais stamp was stamped with Versa Mark and I used Clear Embossing Powder.  I love the effect.  Added a little ribbon and some pearls, viola!

Daughter's Birthday Card

Here's the card I made for my daughter for her Birthday.

The base was Melon Mambo.  I ran some Old Olive through the Big Shot using the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder and added some Basic Pearls in some of the flower centers.  The DSP is Cheerful Treat.  The Happiest Wishes on your Birthday is from the Hostess Set Happiest Birthday Wishes.  A little Crumb Cake CS and sponging, ribbon is Seam Binding Crumb cake.  Added a little more of the DSP to the flap of a Crumb Cake Envelope...Happy Birthday!

Post-it Note Holder

Last week on Stamping School Linda had the cutest Top Note Box.  Here's my version...

I love the blue's and browns together so this one really struck my eye!  I used Elegant Soiree DSP for the top of the box.  The bottom part is Baja Breeze CS (can't see it in the picture).  You cut two top notes from the thick packaging paper that comes in the 12x12 packs of DSP and the glue your DSP and CS to those so they're thicker and more sturdy for the tops of the box.  The Stamp Sets are Nature Walk and Teeny Tiny Wishes.  You use the Small Oval Punch for the sentiment and sponged with Soft Suede Classic Ink, 2-1/2" Circle Punch and 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large Punch.  Under that is the Swirls Scribbles Sizzlets(R) Die punched in Soft Suede CS.  Behind the swirls is a layer of the Elegant Soiree DSP, then Crumb Cake CS, layered onto the Top Note that you created with the same DSP (striped sheet).   The little flower is punched with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Flower and I added a Basic Pearl to the center.  Inside the box is a Post-it-Note pad for taking notes.  Would be a really nice gift for a co-worker, don't you think?  (To make the box that is sandwiched between the two Top Notes I used Baja Breeze CS, one piece for the bottom cut at 4-1/8" x 4-1/8", score 1/2" on all sides.  Top of box is 4-1/4" x 4-1/4", also score 1/2" on all sides.  Cut slits on corners of 1/2" on opposite sides of each piece to enable you to fold and make into a box. (Hope that makes sense to you???) ..... anyway, have fun and let me know if you have any questions.  If you'd like to join Stamping School, click on the link above and get information.  Linda is a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator and you can join her School and get new projects every week to use at your Workshops!

Wendy's Birthday Card

November is a big Birthday month for us.  Here's the first of several cards I need to get into the mail.
I used Basic Gray CS for the card base and Pink Pirouette CS for the first layer and ran it through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder on the bottom half.  The Melon Mambo CS was used for the backing on the greeting Birthday Wishes from the Watercolor Trio Stamp Set.  I used the Decorative Label Punch and punched out one White CS and one Melon Mambo CS, cut the white ones in two and made a backing for the Melon Mambo label.  I cut the stamped image out with the Small Oval and sponged with Melon Mambo Ink.  I added 3 Basic Pearls below the greeting.  The flowers on the top are from the Just Believe Stamp Set.  I added Basic Pearls to two of the flowers and I sponged the edge of that with the Melon Mambo ink also.  The Rick-Rack across the center of the card is Melon Mambo CS cut with the Bigz Die Tasteful Trim.  I used more flowers on the inside stamped with Melon Mambo and Basic Gray Ink.  Sure hope Wendy likes her card.  She's in New Hampshire so it has a long way to travel to get to her.
