Sherri's Get Well Card

I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest, sorry but didn't get a name to associate with it.  If it's yours' that I CASEd, let me know and I'll add your credit.

I used Crumb Cake CS for the base of the card.  the next layer was Blushing Bride and the Band-Aids I did in Pistachio Pudding CS.  The little heart is more Blushing Bride and Red Glimmer Paper.  The better get better is from A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set.  The inside of the envelope was lined with Gold Soiree Specialty DSP and cut with the Envelope Liner Framelit.  I used the punch on the Envelope Maker to round the corners on the Band-Aids and ran them through the Textured Impressions and Perfect Polka Dots EFs.  The inside was computer generated.  My friend took a fall and had to have surgery on her wrist, hope she heals quickly!  Love you Sherri~

Baby Card

Here's the card I finally got finished for my Boss and his new family.  They had their first baby on March 7th.

I used Crumb Cake CS for the base of the card then embossed Coastal Cabana with the Large Polka Dot EF, the stamp set is Something for Baby and cut out using the matching Baby's First Framelits.  I used the new thick Baker's Twine in Coastal Cabana and punched a little flower and added some Rhinestones.  Used the Project Life (Cards & Labels) Framelits to cut out the square on the front to put the buggy on and also for the computer generated sentiment inside.  The DSP I used was Lullaby (behind the buggy and for an envelope liner) cut with the Envelope Liners Framelits.

Fabulous is what you are

This is a card I CASEd from Dawn Griffith (Dawn's Stamping Studio) here.  Just loved this card and her video makes it so easy to CASE!

She/I used Sweet Sorbet DSP, Crumb Cake CS for the base, Flower Shop Stamp Set and coordinating  punch, , Million & One Stamp Set,  Petite Petals Stamp Set and Punch, Basic Rhinestones.  Dawn's video walks you right through all the steps, such a pretty card.  Thanks for sharing Dawn!

Boss' Birthday Card

My Boss at my "regular job" is having a birthday this week-end, here's the card I created for him.

I created the background paper using First Edition Specialty DSP, crumpled and sponged.  The idea came from stampTV here.  The little bird and Happy Birthday Wishes is from the Simply Sketched stamp set.  I used Chocolate Chip Ink and CS along with Bashful Blue CS.  I added some Chevron Ribbon and Bakers Twine, along with a Designer Naturals Button.  I was going for the "masculine look", think I got it!

En Francais

I saw this card in Chiaki Haverstick's Blog and wanted to recreate it!  It was really different and can be used for many different occasions!

She used the En Francais background stamp, Crumb Cake and Perfect Plum CS for the base (which I didn't have so substituted Wisteria Wonder CS).  The hearts were sponged using a template cut with Hearts Collection Framelits and Raspberry Ripple, Rose Red and Perfect Plum ink pads.  The background En Francais stamp was stamped with Versa Mark and I used Clear Embossing Powder.  I love the effect.  Added a little ribbon and some pearls, viola!

Perfect Life

I found this on Diane Roberts site, Score at Four and a Quarter and just loved it!  Of course I'm a kitty lover anyway, but who wouldn't love to get this card?

I used the Googlie Eyes instead of punching from the owl punch like Diane did, otherwise pretty much a straight CASE!  Crumb Cake CS, Bakers Twine, Candy Dots.  Ran the kitties through embossing folders and they were created with the Banners Framelit Dies.  The stamp is from the Feel Goods Stamp Set.  I sponged the edges with Early Espresso Ink.

Perfect Blend Card

The Perfect Blend Stamp Set is one of my most favorite that Stampin' UP! has out right now.  My Sis (twin) Judy found a tutorial (video) that Dawn Griffith has on her blog on how to create this gift card holder. I'm so lovin' it!  Judy made one:

Here's the first picture she sent me ~ so cute!

Then she used a clothes pin to make it stay shut....love it!

Then I couldn't stand it, so cute ~ I made 3!  Check out the video Dawn has, gives all the instructions, measurements, etc.!

Happy Stampin'

Stamping T Tutorial ~ Cupcake Oven

I recently purchased a couple of tutorials from Stamping T.  One of them was to make a Cupcake Oven.  I attempted to create it today.  I know mine doesn't compare to Tanya's, but she does give great instructions and the $2. I paid for the tutorial was well worth an entire day's creating!  (And I didn't even make the cupcake to go inside yet!).....Here's the link to Stamping T's site and the Cupcake Oven she created.  Thanks so much for the great tutorial Tanya and for the quick delivery on my order...

I had to use Bashful Blue CS instead of Baja Breeze because I didn't have any 12x12 Baja Breeze.  Isn't it cute.  I know hers' is MUCH better but I was really happy with my first try at creating this.

As you can see in the pic' I got to use the new Build-a-brads for the burners, bottle cap for the frying pan.  Also used was Crumb Cake CS, Very Vanilla CS, Brushed Silver CS, Window Sheet for the oven door window.  Patio Party DSP for the Oven Mit, Patio Party DSP for the 312 in the center of the top of the stove, Clockworks and Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Sets.  Lots of punches and Framelits and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Birthday Cards

I created two Birthday Cards with the same design (one for my Hubby and one for my Nephew).

I used Crumb Cake CS for the base and ran some Bashful Blue CS through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder for the next layer.  A little Crumb Cake Seam Binding for the ribbon.  I used the Ovals Collection Framelits to cut another piece of Crumb Cake CS and mounted my Happy Birthday To You Stamp from the Cross My Heart Stamp Set which was also cut with one of the Ovals Collection Framelits and sponged with Crumb Cake Ink Pad.  My Hubby loved his card and I'm hoping my Nephew gets his in the mail today (he's a Groundhog Birthday Boy! LOL!!!).

D's Birthday Card

Here's the card I made for my Daughter's boyfriend for his birthday yesterday.

The picture really doesn't do it justice, the colors look pinkish!  I used Crumb Cake DSP for the base of the card and added Core-d-nations Pool Party Card Stock and ran it through the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  The bottom was cut with Adorning Accents and Finishing Touches Edgelets.  The little x's are created using the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folders.  I used the sanding tool to sand the card and make the inside color show in the Pool Party Paper.  I squashed a bottle cap in the Big Shot and added the background and bee from the Collage Curious Stamp Set.  I added happy and day from stamps in the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.  The ribbon is Natural Trim Ribbon.

Hand delivered it to him yesterday and he LOVED it!  Happy Birthday D and hope you have many more!

Another Birthday Card

Here's another November birthday card!  I cased this from CardScraps.  It uses the the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set and Cannery Set Framelits.

The card base is Pool Party CS.  Then Crumb Cake.  The jar is stamped on Vellum CS and cut with the Framelits Cannery Set.  I free-hand cut the grass using Gumball Green CS.  the sentiment is from Up, Up & Away Stamp Set. The ribbon is Primrose Petals Statin Stitched Ribbon. The inside sentiment is computer generated and cut out using Floral Frames Framelit.  I used a strip of DSP and the Champagne Glimmer Paper. I added some flowers to the envelope.

Going Away Card

A lady at work left last week (she worked for our tree contractor), so of course I had to make her a card with trees on it!

The base of the card is Early Espresso CS and I did the triple layer technique using Crumb Cake CS.  We've had several card swaps using the technique and I've seen it on a lot of blogs, so cute and much easier than it appears!  The Stamp Set I used was one of my all-time favorites: Lovely as a Tree.  I drew the little bird in free hand.  The inside stamp is from the Word Play Stamp Set.  The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Scallop Dot.  I cut the words for the inside with a Window Frame Collection Framelit.

Grandson's Birthday Card

More birthday's!!!  Here's the one I created for our Grandson who lives in Oceanside.  He'll be 19 on the 6th of January!  Where does the time go??

I used Not Quite Navy CS for the card base.  I ran a piece of Crumb Cake through one of the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folders available in the new Occasions Mini Catalog that goes "live" today (pg. 11) Adorning Accents 125601. It comes with 3 folders, I used the one with the little heart design. I punched each corner with the Ticket Corner Punch and added some Basic Rhinestone Jewels that I had colored Black with a Sharpie. (Learned that little techinique on Patty Bennett's site .. so cool!)   I punched a scallop circle with the Scallop Circle Punch in the Not Quite Navy and added a Build a Brad with a little cupcake from the Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set.  The inside I used my computer generated greeting and stamped a little tree with the heart in it from the Easy Events Stamp Set.  I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the stamp and left the greeting part off.
